If anyone out there can advise me on what to do here. I had a day off work today which i planned on speding it playing the game but i have spent it pulling my hair out and smoking 50 fags!!
I can't get OF to work when not on-line. I updated boots and balls first then i used my datel transfer kit for v2 and then put my HD back to xbox. It will work when on-line but once i am not on-line it all goes...

Reinstall the updates using your whole unit..meaning your xbox 360 with the hard drive attached..

Even if you did this before which I'm sure you didn't.. Please do it again..

My cousin had the same issue as he has no Internet and took only his HD to my house to get the updates..

Hey mate.. Sorry I've been away all evening.. Celebrating my bday with peeps watching arsenal get beat :( lol

Ok I have an idea

now, the game data files hides in many different folders to tell the machine where the file has come from.. Ie.. What country, region, different console etc..

Now if these are not matching then the console does what it's doing now..

Now I'm not sure how you did all your updates since November but was it ever via a different console? Either a friends or a pre RROD console that may be now broken?

Also I don't know what else you did or methods you used..?

2 options

1st is to get hold of a resigner tool which will make your machine think the file was yours to begin with (I have limited knowledge in this area and this forum isn't the one for that as it goes deep)

2nd is to start from scratch
erase the edit data.. All of it including all the konami updates..

You won't need to erase your save data.. Just store it somewhere until later after it's all working..

Load up pro for the 1st time and save some random data.. (now your correct edit data folder is definatly in the right place)

now update the konami updates and once your up to the boots and balls update just stop there.

now put the v2 edit data in exactly the same folder as the 1st edit data you just created (just like what you did to get v2 working before)

now load up the game and see if all the kits and names are there..

Now the moment of truth..

Go to the dashboard and sign into your profile but pull out your Internet conection..

If it works then please spare some pennies via the paypal link on the facebook group page :)

if not then the 1st option is the only way..

I am having same problem doing my mates aswell as my own. I have his HD and i have the same problem for both. I have used the same console for all updates and of.

See.. you said you have your mates hard drive..

you need your mates hard drive and console as a complete set..

do boots and balls 1st then v2 after.. (basically dont do the new feb update)

Ah ok so i need his console too. Ah ok but mine is having same problem so will i try what you said about finding the correct folder by edit something in the game?

But Daymos, what I understood from the forum is that the German teams (Wolfs,Bayern,Stutt) will be messed up or something when u install the latest update after the ball, boots and V2b...

Nothing will be effected by the newest update when having V2b?
Im confused :(

No one said cant update..

no one is forcing you not to update but if you do it then you will loose the german players. (you can still find them in edit mode)

Myself or cowson will not spend time making players on this boots and balls OF.. we will spend the time fixing konami's mess with the new update....

so there will be no need to create the player you was talking about because when or if its all fixed you will have him anyway

I never updated any of the konami updates i just did your 3 OF this season.

Can you confirm i did this correct.
I clear updates and your OF and start from scratch. When i turn on game to make random save to locate correct folder, do i sign on-line from the beginning ands then do this and then go in and update konami updates? Do i do all 3 including balls?
You said that when i get to boots update stop and add v2 to correct folder..do i do this before adding boots or after? When i have done this i add v2 and then reconnect HD to xbox and start game. Do i sign in first? I did not do that the first time and i got that message from before about (load failed because data from different version). So when i start up game on-line everything is there but once i pull out internet connection and go into game all is lost.

after you install the boot and balls then install v2.

just stop trying to use different hard drives and concentrate on your one 1st as that will be a problem.

Cool i am off today so will have another crack at it. One of the lads on this site e-mailed me the files..do you think that could be it and maybe if you sent me yours it may work?

When i drag and drop the 200 files do i just drag the 200 files or do i also drag the other 2 files which are just the title etc?
Just trying to figure out why your of won't work offline.

Hey mate

I have tried what you said and it still won't work. When i get to the end and i have logged in i pull out internet connection and i can play away and all is good.When i turn the xbox off and turn on again without being on-line it gives the the load failed because data from different version and all is lost again. Basically i have to sign on on-line first to get the v2 so and then i can sign out and play away with v2. I made a random ML save before i turned xbox off but when i go back in offline i can't play..it won't happen and i have to do updates and files all again.

I am not sure what this resigner tool thing is to be honest but i have been doing this since Monday night and i am fed up!
I have used xplorer and winrar for these files and still nothing.
I just don't get it everything else is great but once i go off line and reboot everything is gone.

I take it everyone else out there is able to play with v2 off line? I would not be bothered but i live in the country and the internet is not great so playing on-line all the time would be a pain in the back side so this is why i am an eager beaver to get this done.

The file is fantastic!
I was just settling down to start my master league with Derby but every time I turn the xbox off there is no saved game when I go to load it again. This has happened three times.
I've looked at the files on the dashboard and it's there and it says it's corrupt.
Is anyone having the same problems?
Does anyone know how to fix it?

Daymos, if I download the feb update, can I put the players from the German teams back in there by myself?
Sawwy for being newb and all, but since my last mess up, losing my ML and all, I don't want another rail that goes down hill.

Hey there yes you can do that. You will find most of the players from wolfsburg, stuttgart and Bayern in created players and just register them to the german teams. The best this to do would be to put the fake players in the german teams into some of the fake teams to free space.

Hey mate. I am having problem with v2 whan off line. I played on-line for a bit and saved a game. This is how i discovered my problem. When i went back in the next day to play i was off-line and i could not access the saved game as it said it was corrupt too. I then discovered that it's not possible to play v2 when offline. I want to know is anyone out there able to play v2 offline???
