Afraid it's not as simple as that anymore. You'll see when you get the game as options are limited when you start out.

If I had to guess after looking though, I'd guess you'll be able to buy them after they're readily editable in edit mode so it seems like they're actually in the game. As for checking in ML for them though, it'll take time it seems, so don't expect an answer pronto, and like I said, give it a few days.

Hunter, did you download a patch when you put the game in??? I heard a patch has already been released, called version 1.01. (evo web was the source)

I played my only match so far on Professional, but a bug is a bug and if it was fixed it would be fixed across all difficulties as it's within the game itself. I played down the wing many times just to check and I could put in a cross everytime as I neared the barline - although some crosses didn't seem as perfect as was the case in the demo. It's not really fixed though, yet, unfortunately.

Oh and Tech, I looked in edit mode and it seems you can tinker with player's pokemon cards - the main gameplay ones anyway (not the tricks) under the category "Player Index". Excellent news. It doesn't seem to be available within a match though under the formation menu but I guess it's not too bad though.

Dribbling does seem more difficult, but more rewarding too. I'd definitely say there's more emphasis on the passing game in PES 2011, especially with the new passing system which is really enjoyable and rewarding. Judging the power needed and direction as well in order to make the passes just right.

The team formation tab has completely changed, and I love the new set up to be honest. The main focus of the screen formation is a big pitch with the team squad in a smaller font just to the side of the pitch and to change players around it's a case of simple drag and drop. It works really well and it's now perfect for editing player's positions on the pitch as you have total freedom to dictate where abouts you want to place them on the formation sceen pitch.

Copa teams can only play Copa teams it seems, unfortunately. I can't see an Inter-Continental Cup either, but in saying that I've not completed the Copa competition, I've only had the game a few hours.

Online I've not tried and probably won't just yet.

Not to my knowledge mate. I'll have a look at the options in just a second and see if there's a patch available for download but I can't remember seeing a pop up screen telling me that there's a patch available already. If so I hope it fixes the wing and cross bug, that'd be perfect.

I guess there will be a patch at release date which fix this wing bug.
Question: Is the league logo also viewable on licensed teams?

Hunter please tell me if BAL player is getting standard 4-4-4 for Form/Weak foot aac/weak foot freq., or is it any better this time?

1. Is there still a replay after every foul?
2. Is the advantage rule better or the same from the demo?
3. Are refs really strict?

Is it the same as the demo where on SD the gameplay is super fast whereas on HD the gameplay is medium paced on 0?

No problem. I actually updated my first post not long ago, just keep checking back there every now and then but while I'm here.

The refs are thankfully no longer whistle crazy and strict, they tend to let a lot of niggly tussles go so the play now flows nicely. After my one match I can't remember whether there was a replay after minor fouls, because I think only a couple of minor fouls were given in the whole match - one of which the CPU decided to take a quick free-kick on so that immediately ruled out the possibility of the replay.

Put it this way, if there's a replay after every foul, you'd barely notice anyway since the referee's aren't anywhere near as strict as they are in the demo - thankfully! I've not noticed the advantage rule yet actually, but as I say, I've only had one match.

I think I'll start a Copa Libertadores (sp?) competition now since it looks like a whole shit of fun with all the crazy South American kits and boots. I think I'll choose my team based on how ridiculous the team kit is.

You don't have to repeat yourself, I know you posted before, and like I said I'll be getting back to every post with answers. I just wouldn't mind having time to actually play the game myself, it's not as if you need to know immediately or otherwise you'll be tossing and turning in bed tonight. I don't mean to be a prick, but don't repeat yourself and try to rush me. I have the power to delete your posts and even ban you, not that I'd want to.

Anyway:

1. The league logo is indeed on licensed teams sleeves, and you can choose if you want the logo on the left or right sleeve, or both if you like.

2. I'm not sure about BAL yet, I might look into it tomorrow if I have time.

I had a quick check, or tried to, but the process of the beginning of the ML is very different and somewhat restricted to begin with so I couldn't actually view the open market like previously. As I say though I'll probably delve in the ML properly in the next day or so and I'll be sure to check it out and post back with findings. Thanks for being understanding about it man.

My keeper's only had 1 save to make this first half, but in saying that I haven't peppered Real Potosi's goal either as they've been quite defensively compact in and around the box which is nice to see.

The Copa competition and layout/structure really is great though and it's a genuinely excellent addition to PES. I've no doubt everyone will love it, and I can see myself playing through it several times with different South American teams. There's a lot of depth to the Copa competition with play-offs and then big group stages between 32 teams, and then knockouts after that. It's a real achievement to win it seems and it'll be a long tough battle.

I've just finished my first match 0-0 which was a play-off 1st leg away from home to Real Potosi. It was nice to see there being 5 minutes of stoppage time at the end as well since there'd been quite a few substitutes, it certainly added to the tension!

EDIT: This will answer Papa's question previously, I've now played two matches and have been awarded a penalty in my second match - and also skied it due to the shit penalty system.
