Music in PES 2011

I'm not sure if this has been discussed anywhere else.

I'm wondering what people think of the music in the game. I really hated it at first, but the songs have really grown on me, especially the one with the spanish woman singing.

I like it. Bearing in mind this is only the second year that PES have finally got their finger out of their arse and put real music on there, then it's very very good.

I take it you mean that "50mila" song? It is pretty damn catchy..... though I know zero Spanish... so I when I sing along I just say what I think the words sound like :D Kinda like that "Ken Lee" lady who was on some Eastern European Pop Idol thing (Youtube it if you don't know what I mean).

The music is good though. I did delete one song... the really heavy one with the screaming.

Yeah, it's great! I've bought a lot of the Brazilian tracks for my iPod.
I also downloaded some of the artists full albums including Azymuth. Amazing!

Why do they censor the word "addicted" in the Keane song? Seems a bit over zealous.

There are no songs in Spanish with a woman singing.

The only ones in Spanish are "La Marcha de la Vida" and "Microdancing"

Maybe you said 50 Mila or L'Inferno, but is Italian :p

My favorite is "Head, first, down"

My faves:
Theo - Apples
Cousins
Sweet disposition
Armistice
Crystalized (Rory Phillips' remix)

I've downloaded all of them...

Theo apples is always a good song to hear! Actually have it on my ipod.

They have some temper trap and passion pit along with the XX on there which is always good, but i've always liked Pro Evo for their use of non popular music and going for music which isn't in the charts or used for the "football Montage" moments.

They used a couple in there, and i tell you what Pera has grown on me, its great! i try and sing along and all that comes out of my mouth is

"bada poopie baabdbabba boo bobo bob ob o PERA!"

Most of it is gay cheesy shit that literally makes me sick listening to as konami try so hard to please all audiences.

You have that camp shit called ''theo'' and I end up wishing I could punch the singers face in. Then the whining emo shit ''die tomorrow'' for the pretentious rock kids, then brazil samba for the south americans, then you have a 15 minutre tribe ritual song that feels like it never ends. A few latin tracks talking about cousins. And lastly a few decent techo/house tunes that are tolerable. It leaves you wondering what konami were smoking when they selected some of the tracks.

However I deleted all that shit and put my own songs on along time ago.

Worst sound track on any PES game was PES2008 unquestionably. Every song was hiliariously bad!

I actually liked it because it was neutral generic music rather than in 2009 when konami decided it was good getting all these different genres of music from around the world by different artists. Which I felt made it more of a nusiance listening to when browsing for transfers in master league. Mind you I think 09 was good but last and this year has done my head in.

Ah I just can't forgive these faux pas' by Konami ... that said I oddly feel inclined to add these to PES2011 just to annoy my mates when they come round to play in the PES Tournoi! Psychological warfare :D

And the worst by far is this criminal effort!

Still makes me laugh though. "Football, SOCCER! Football, SOCCER!"

I swear they hired some cheapo agency to record those tracks because some of them are seriously cheesy.

They certainty sounded like budget songs that were quickly drafted in at the last minute. I can't imagine those tracks making it in the charts or any of the authors being signed to any respectable record labels

Not wrong, it reminded me of a story by the 90s mullet crooner Michael Bolton who said when he was starting out he was having to sing on radio adverts - they were so appalling he and his colleagues struggled to record them in one take.

Imagine being the singer having to sing "Football .. SOCCERR!" ... you just know anything you considered credible would instantly be tainted! How could you sing that and not feel a bit like you'd sold your dignity to pay the bills?!
