I'm pretty sure the ps3 demo is 10 min matches. I like the new demo, but think I proffered the feel of demo one, the passing is better on demo 2 though, has the manual passing had a buff? I seem to be able to be making some immense manual passes and I was struggling in demo 1.

The training side though sucks.... For some reason when I try do the perfect trap training, it never says I complete the perfect trap, which I am doing :/

Ahhh no is 5 mins it says on settings, feels longer though.

some valid points in there. but hey you couldnt score shit from outside the area in pes 12 and everyone complained. you can now, and yet again you hear complaints. lets just leave it that way its just a game and its supposed to be entertaining. hey at least you can block these shots if you're playing smart in pes 13 so it shouldn't hurt you too much if you're a good player; sliding tackles are cool this year

True about Pes 12, but we are looking for some balance. Demo 1 revealed the the outside shooting flaw pretty quickly. Whilst they have toned it down a bit in demo 2...it is still there. Van Persie is a beast on this...the bitch can score from almost any angle from any distance.

Next ...i am also finding defending a tad bit confusing using the double tap (X)or(A) for standing tackles. It seems to slow down my next button press. Why would they introduce that? Wouldn't one tap be better?

peace

I only play online (cant see the point in playing against the comp?) although from most peoples response pes 2013 sounds good but my view will be decided when its released and i get to play it online, having played pes 2012 alot this last year i think they made a great game but the shooting was way to hard to be in control of when directing a shot

wheresmark. You also have to score as well after a perfect trap. Took me a while to realise that.

It feels like the passing and shot power has decreased from the first demo. It's difficult to get enough whip ibehind long range passes and shots.

It's as if they're pre-determined where in demo 1 you could perform defense splitting long balls that would cause trouble fo the defense, so you could play like stoke if you wanted to. Or blast the ball hard towards goal

Now the ball just floats in the air giving time for the opposition defenders to mark your target man. Or when shooting it just floats into the top corner as if it goes into slow motion matrix bullet time mode.

They've never explained the training parts very well at Konami. I also had a problem with the second part of the dribble training challenge, 2 touch dribble, couldn't do that no matter how many times I went back and copied what it was telling me to do.

Have you tried double tapping :circle: or using the :R1: + :circle:? The latter one I mentioned is brilliant for opening defenses up with long passes when switching play.

their are millions of people around the world that do not take any notice of PES at all which = PES could be a million times better than it was in the PS2 days and the mojority of people would not even take the slightest bit of notice. this is why PES will never stand a chance reguardless of what Konami do with it. this year will be no different PES enters the chart at number 46 while FIFA enters at number 1 and stays their untill may next year.

Its A Crying Shame because PES 13 blows fifa 12s gameplay out of the water.

dunno about FIFA 13 but we will find out in the coming days

Who cares about it's place in the charts, the main thing is that you enjoy the game.

Far too many seem to have this obsession with how well fifa does in terms of marketing and it's place in the charts. For me it's a lifeless superficial game, made for casual games with short attention spans.

I tried giving fifa12 a chance as there was a lot of hype surrounding it and couldn't take pes12 seriously, yet like fifa11 I found it dull and lifeless where every player literally plays the same way.

Your first paragraph was spot on, but your dig at FIFA fans in the second was unnecessary and moronic.

Ok let me rephrase that for sensitive precious souls such as yourself - Fifa is catered towards casual gamers. Is that better for you?

Much better. Thank you.

Who would you say PES is catered towards? Old farts living in the past? ;)

It's mainly catered towards dedicated gamers who want to recreate the beautiful game on their consoles and feel like they're in control of their favorite club and players.

The direction konami has taken the game in since moving to next gen consoles has mostly been hit and miss since they've tried also tried to market their product to the casual gamer as the gap in quality decreased out of fifa and pes.

Fifa has done a lot to revamp their gameplay(stealing a lot of the control features from pes) to make it seem like a simulation on the surface and obviously it being more mainstream with greater scope of licences has gained more sales.

So konami has felt compelled to take steps to match fifa in the charts and as result tweaked the gameplay to match fifa's in previous editions because of fanboys like the one above being more concerned with how much praise fifa receives along with it's position in the charts than their sole enjoyment of the pes product.

PES' gameplay on PS2/Xbox was superb. I don't think I'll enjoy a game more than I did PES5.

The licences aren't really an issue amongst most people anymore. I used to spend hours upon hours updating the older PES games because the gameplay made the effort worthwhile.

I used to hate FIFA, and like you thought people only played it because of licences etc but the gameplay really is quality.

All the different game modes is a plus, too. I don't doubt PES has them, too, but Ultimate Team is so enjoyable for me. Pro Clubs I've also got into in the last few months.

Perhaps if Konami dropped the gay arcade music it might make playing their games a little less painful
