I am a die hard....well was, a die hard PES fan myself...but i cannot be biased. Fifa kicks PES arse up and down the pitch all day any day.

I was away playing both demos ...and Fifa is superior PES ..period.

I have seen where many have said that PES2013 feels like the old PES and i agree ...it does. Only difference is that PES 2013 has now adapted what Fifa has dropped ...FLOATY GAMEPLAY WITH FLOATY ANIMATIONS....the game feels like a retarded arcade game.
...and it does look and feel like the old pes...example
PES 6 Arg vs Bra
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SqEyNJQvQcw
PES 2013 Arg vs Bra
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U_RpHnVO6uQ

Now take a look at both games in full ...and tell me that they are not very similar ...

Now to address the illusion in PES 2013.
Konami has done two basic thing with this version.....
1. Increase the size of the pitch .....this give the players a huuuge amount space that it is unbelievable ...i cannot lose a game on the demo even if i tried. Freedom is not really there....just alot of space with is very unrealistic. Passing has become ridiculously easy because of the huge amount of space.

2. Overpowered Shooting. This makes the game fun because.. now everybody shoots from outside the 18. So everyone likes the demo because it is much easier to score...from even kickoff ...has anyone seen the video on how to do that?

Now for Fifa ....what can i say?... PERFECT!
Realistic pitch size compared to player models
Amazing animations ...very realistic
Shooting is perfect
Amazing tussles which looks realistic..including collisions
Smooth gameplay
intelligent AI
and of course a very true to life simulation

Basically, i can say this ....PES has moved to a arcadish game perfect for casual gamers....it has no heart or soul to the game.

Fifa is for hard core gamers like myself who is up for a challenge ...no two games are the same. Fifa requires skill ...you cannot just run past a defender to beat them like in PES ....you have to plan your runs and learn a couple skill tricks for your boss players like Messi....

PES is ok this year .....if you are a casual gamer who like arcade games.

Fifa is for hard core gamers who are up for the challenge ...

What in the world are you talking about? you have to be playing a different game than everyone else, because fifa has taken a step back from even 12.

^^in PES you can move in 16 directions, but I swear the AI only moves in 8 and rarely breaks out of one of those 8 directions until it bumps into something like an auto-vacuum that cleans your floor.

I disagree with the fact that PES skills are harder to pull off.

This is one of the main reasons why majority of PES players hate Fifa.
The skills in fifa are star rated, with the easiest between 1 to 3 stars.
PES players are not able to keep up with the tons of animations in fifa ...therefore they quit.

So on the contrary...Fifa is a much harder game to master over PES. PES is just basic ....Pass run pass run ...shoot ....

Fifa it is a lot different ...you have skillers who take on defenders ..they create havoc for PES players ......but not for Fifa players ...do you know why?

PES is a basic arcade game....16 directions. There is not much you can do with that in any game.

This is why Fifa rules the roost.

Although, i do understand that people will have their own preferences...I find it very funny that ppl here believes that PES can compete with Fifa.

Its like Street Fighter vs Fight night Champion

I feel for a lot of the guys here ....they are doing what i did when i was playing PES .....critique a game they do not even play.

Just mention you like Fifa here and you are an immediate outkast...

Just watch them flock ...

Well, hopefully this is an eye opener for them, but I doubt it lol. I like PES for a lot of the reasons you like fifa. If ppl don't understand, I'm not fussed.

I have no allegiance with either brand. I'll pay and play whatever game I have fun with. Depending on my mood I'll go from one game to the next. Bottom line is I'm a football fan, and I'm lucky I can buy both.

I don't quite understand 'fanboyism' or loyalty towards one game or another. I look at it this way, you pay them money for a product if you think it's worth it - done. If that one person was to tell the dev's + publishers 'I'm not buying your next game', they wouldn't give a feck, unless there're half a million ppl standing behind u saying the same.
These game companies will show no loyalty back if money is involved.
Makes me laugh, rant over:)

(Funny you bring up SF + FNight. I have some friends that would swear by StreetFighter being the best fighter ever made, but others who have had more fun with FightNight. All of them love fighting games)
BF-CoD, MK-DoA, Forza-GT. ??? lol

One thing I try not to do is sling shit , and respect other ppl's (non offensive) opinions.
Easily lost when ur not talking face to face

I find the PES demo such a drastic improvement from PES2012 that I don't see why Konami would invite Seabass back for 2014.

I think the two demos (FIFA and PES) are both good and make picking one over another more difficult than ever before. I find great things and faults in both. I know I will buy FIFA on release date, but I would likely buy PES a little later, perhaps mostly because as a BLUS - U.S. player we don't always have Option File opportunities out of the box unless Mr. Gametight gets interested for us. Of course, my Amigo, Senor Pategato, might come through as well. Where is ol' MGT anyway. I knew all that Call of Duty he plays would come back to haunt us American players :gunfire::thud:

Lol... What a nub.

Fifa is easier this year to score than any other game. all you need to do is get in or around the box stand still and shoot and 90% of the time it goes in. I have been playing it on World Class and I am beating the CPU like 4/5-0/1.

Sorry but No.

and standing still an shooting don't do crap. Doesn't even score on Amateur on any sort of regularity.

I was over-exaggerating obviously, but I can score 90% of the time easily from the same position in or around the box.

Good for you............I can't. I score like 20% of the time. Either keeper saves it, Defender blocks it or I just miss:eek:hmy:

Yet in Fifa 12 I could score 90% of the time on any difficulty

One of the first morons to grab the bait.

...and you caught lying your ass off about Fifa.

I bet you don't even play the game.

Hello Ockrass. :welcome2:

I played Fifa 13 yesterday and at first glance the game was obviously better than the atrocious Fifa 12. I will post what I think about it when I play more today, but be warned, YOU won't like what I would have to say because there's gonna be positives and NEGATIVES (something you don't want to hear, but you have to hear from me).

This.

I could comfortably hold my own on World Class on Fifa 12, but I've only scored about 5 goals in 10 games on the Fifa 13 demo. I've had to come down the Intermediate

Wrong, in fact I uploaded a vid of the Demo a few pages back.

NEXT!

Which wasn't world class and you can tell by how the defenders react in most of the vid.

Stop playing on Amateur and your video shows you miss just as much as you score:tongue:

Never did I say that was World Class lol...
That was just a test of my software. Same as the PES vids :)

I was just saying that I do and id play it as that idiot said I didn't.

Fair enough.

I just assumed that was supposed to be WC since that is what you stated you played on ;)

Lol, gonna be some flame wars again this year I believe Shaun fella!

Played both, PES 2013 is very good, FIFA 13 is okay, but still the same issues are there which immediately cripple it in the simulation stakes. Players skating, CPU still turning on a sixpence on Legendary, the exact same patterns of CPU attacks from 2012. There are good points, first touch, impact seems to be sorted. I don't know though, I'm going to contradict myself here, although the graphics seem to be improved they arr somehow more cartoon like if that makes sense. Perhaos this is just me.

Overall, I can learn everything I need to know about FIFA inside one game, and indeed I did, I scored a stunning solo arcade like goal with Nasri. This was inside 20 seconds of my first demo game lol.

So in conclusion, I'm stumping up for PES only this year. The major problem I foresee with PES is this boots shit in ML, if the 'boosts' get out of control I'm selling the game ASAP. I may be forced then to plump for FIFA as I here the career mode is sublime. Gameplay wise - PES is far and away beyond FIFA this year IMO.

Hello there man, good to see you here aswell. Yeah, I believe people like Ockrass won't be happy this year with the way Pes 13 is shaping up.

BTW, I thought that the CPU in Fifa 13 at least has a brain compared to Fifa 12. Not saying it's great, but I think i's an improvement over 12.

As for skating. Well, my oh my. It's still there and yes, the impact engine is definitely better in 13.

The thing with Fifa is that you rarely find something that you didn't know about after some time, because usually you can learn patterns quickly in let's say 2-3 matches mostly. For all the bad points I find in Fifa 13, I think there are some good positives like how you can control the shot (because the power bar rises slower) and control the defender while the ball is in the air.

First touch is cool but in my eyes it's not working here because it isn't stat dependant, it's more random than anything. Yes, slowing down will have a better touch as expected, but I think that players the likes of Pirlo or Vucinic or Giovinco should be able to control their first touch much better than some other players and yet this is not shown in the game.

As for Pes 13. That boot thing is quite worrying actually but I hope that the stats won't have that much of an impact. Well I really hope so.

But for general gameplay, I really like it this year. Alot of issues from 12 have been addressed (there are still some annoying ones though). But we'll see how both turn out after playing them more.
