I usually just make the kit as close as possible with the in game editor. This year i want to try to make them with an actual online kit creator. What site should i use? how do people get the sponsors? Any help would be appreciated.
I'm am not a pro, but I know the basics (and maybe a bit more :tongue
of kit making for PES, so I can give you some advice.
Making kits for PES it's not hard. Once you get used to the position of the logos and other things in the image file, it becomes easy. It's all practice. At the beginning, I needed a template to see the position of stripes and other designs and learn where were they positioned (for example, if I was doing an Adidas kit, I copied the adidas stripes from another kit). After my first 5-6 kits, I started getting the hang of it and it become much easier. Of course, there are kits which are harder than others. For example, those classic kits (specially from goalkeepers) can have very crazy patterns, and they are hard to get. But most of modern kits can be done easily.
People usually do the kits on a image editing software like Photoshop. I use paint.net, which is free and is very powerful, you can do lots of things with it (if you want to use it I can even recommend you some plugins that will help you making it even better and also easier to do certain stuff). Once you get used to its tools, such as working with layers and magic wand, it's not hard. It's much easier than photoshop, I highly recommend it if you are new on image editing.
There is also a website called PESMaster that has a very good kit creator tool. It is very useful when you are starting, however, there are some things you can't do with it, such as certain patterns and put sponsors in sleeves, shorts and the back of the shirt.
What I recommend you to do is:
- Get paint.net or other image editing software (there are others, such as GIMP, but I am not familiarized with them)
- Start doing kits with PESMaster Kit Creator tool. It has lots of options and templates. Once you do everything you can do with it, download the kit.
- Anything you can't do with PESMaster you'll have to do the in paint.net (or your editing software). I recommend you also get a template that shows the position of the shorts, socks, shirt, collar, etc. Angeltorero has made a very good kit template, and there's also a good one here in the forum.
To get the sponsors, you can just google the name of the company. If the image has a white background that you don't want, you can use magic wand tool from your editing software to remove it.
If you don't know the name of a sponsor (for example, if it is chinese or some other language you can't read or write), usually the website of the club has their sponsor list, and you can see if you find the sponsor there.
P.S. There is also a good program called blender where you could see the kit in 3d, but I believe there is no model of PES 2018 kit format yet. For now, I am using an old PES 2017 blender model just to check the position of some things in the shirt, but for collars and socks (which are different) I'll have to wait until there's a model or until I get PES 18 to see if I did them well.
Good Luck! If there's anything else I can help with, or if you need help with some specific thing tell me and I'll try to help.
