MGS4 stays exclusive

"The PS3 is like the theatre, it's a little bit high-priced but it has to be high quality as well. The 360 is a DVD, it still needs to be high quality but you need more variations, while the Wii is almost like a TV channel, because every game you have it with your family"

"But like I said, MGS4 is aimed for the movie theatre, it's aimed for the PS3, so the game's scenario and graphics need this theatre-type hardware. It's when a producer has a game that can work on the 'DVD level' that a game will go multiplatform"

X BOX?? is that that thing that sounds like a helicopter is hovering over ya house???? and if you want to watch high def films you have to buy an expensive add on????.......in a years time the 360 will fade away as a folly.

yeah, in the end the xbox ends up costing more than a ps3 cause you gotta buy that drive plus it only has 20 gigs and u have to pay for xbox live which in the ps3 is fo free

Many would argue that the Xbox Live is far superior to PS3's online. It would depend if you are really into online gaming. If so then Xbox Live sounds better but like me and don't really give 2 fucks about online then I would go for PS3.

that depends on the games, pes is much more fun in the playstation 2 than in the 360. i do care about online play and so far i like the ps3 online . microsoft is makin a new version cause theyre current wont keep up with the ps3, typical microsoft, imo they have a losers metality

I'm not actually sure what the differences are but it I remember watching something last night on Bravo 2 and it seemed to just be some small crap like 360 you can message your mates while playing and PS3 you have to exit out or some shit but I can't really remember. Anyway, despite the price the PS3 still appeals to me more but will either wait for price drop or buy one on eBay for like less than £350 off of the idiots who thought they would make a bargain.

i dont see how you could possibly messeage a friend while your playing a game especially if youre playin online.

i dont see any fan in my ps3. it heats up quickly is not like the ps2 which would stay cool for hours.

Blu-Ray drives and media are expensive at the moment, in case you didn't notice.

If Microsoft had decided to put all their effort into putting games onto HD-DVDs, then you would've seen the Xbox 360 retail at a price similar to the PS3. Mark my words.

Sony only has two reasons for adding Blu-Ray playback in the PS3.

1, they want to prevent people from copying and playing copied games on the PS3. If BD-RE drives and media are crazily overpriced, then who's going to copy those discs?

2, they want a headstart in the next generation video format war i.e. the successor to the DVD by adding Blu-Ray high definition video playback.

Number 1 is a very good reason for putting Blu-Ray in there. I mean, look how easy it is to copy and play pirate Xbox 360 games on an Xbox 360. Microsoft have made a mistake in deciding to stick with the DVD format in my honest opinion. A next gen console really should be using next gen technology.

But, I do agree with some of what was written in that article though. The expensive nature of Blu-Ray might end up killing the chances of the PS3 winning the console war, never mind the video format war.

Nintendo missed out on Media Molecule

"You know, I think the best thing shown by Phil Harrison was LittleBigPlanet. The group doing that game is fantastic, and I say that having seen the rag doll little product that they had created. ... That product, I think, is quite intriguing. I'm not sure how well it will do on the Sony platform, quite frankly, but I think that the product they showed was outstanding."

"Frankly, Nintendo wanted to do some business with those folks, but to give Phil some credit, he got there first."

A new game from Ubisoft, you try and figure it out.

Ubisoft has launched a mysterious new website at rev64.com, which appears to be a teaser for a new Tom Clancy game. The page features the bruised and bloodied face of a middle-aged man who grimaces while ominous voices read off a death toll. A text readout scrolls over the picture which appears to be collecting data on the gentleman. The Tom Clancy logo is unmistakable at the bottom of the screen.

Tom Clancy's Firehawk?

[UPDATE] The official sites for the Splinter Cell, Rainbow Six, and Ghost Recon franchises have been updated with mock news reports linked to the storyline featured on the viral Web site, further evidence the game will link the three franchises (or that the three franchises will be set during these catastrophic events). Headlines on each site such as "Death Toll Continues," "Southeast Decimated," and "Water Facility Attacked" depict chaos both in the US and abroad. The three sites also have banner ads featuring the bed-ridden man's face and audio clips from the rev64 Web site.

I'm waiting on my Fight Night to arrive, ordered it for £30 on ebay.

I'm having a bit of trouble trying to get online though :( Why is it so damn complicated. I bought a wireless network adaptor so hopefully i can connect wireless. To be honest though, i don't have a clue what i'm doing.:w00t

I'm loving the PS3 though, everytime i turn it on and off by the controller i get an orgasm:blush: it seems to effect me in a way.

Anyone else got Formula 1? Pain in the arse game. I started a career, after 1 season managed to get into Scudera Dera Rosa (Whatever the hell they're called) 2nd driver seat. Last 5 races of the season i finished 1 and spun out, loses my rear tyre every time ending my races. It sucks ass the amount of times i have spun out. This season though, managed to finish 13th and 8th in my first two races, hooray for me!

Right, help time. Someone tell me how to spin my tyres on the warm up lap :D. I find it rather frustrating when the other cars do it, yet i have to do the shitty break hard, accelerate slow option.

I meant justify in the way of should you expect people to pay two legs for a technology that no one uses yet? Or at least to the full extent.

Well, thats to be expected with new technology.

I think the biggest problem with the PS3 is that technologically, its ahead of its time.

Blu-Ray is really a technology that should've been reserved for the PS4 in my opinion. Blu-Ray drives and media would definitely have become affordable by then.

Then you've just ordered a can of whoop ass from me too. ;)

How is F1 btw? As a full game, is it worth it?

PSN: nikos24 Add me up!

Yeah Formula 1 is great, hard but addictive. I played Motorstorm, then tryed out Formula 1 and have been stuck to it for the past week. Easily recommended.
