    what i'm really after is peoples experiences of putting photos of real footballers in the game to replace the generic faces. some of the likenesses are awful and the face building feature just wouldn't compare to photos.

    Nope, you cant do it. But you can choose the nationality when you create a player from scratch. You'll have to create the whole team that way and then swap the players over with the default players.
