the premier league is trying to outlaw our files???? who do they think pay all their hard earned wages for their sky sports subscriptions, general tack and their replica football shirts (my son has 25 shirts of differing seasons!!)??? Us!!! thats who, I say if they go through with this we boycott any premier league merchandise, I reckon they would lose around AT LEAST 50,000 customers by outlawing PES option files! Our option files are created out of our love of premier league realism, a love affair that could soon end... FOR GOOD!!!! (mr. premier league, i estimate i spend £30 a month on your shit alone!!) Gawads!!! :realmad:

What you pay Sky has fuck all to do with this issue. You pay for the rights to watch a match. End of. As for shirts, i highly doubt you could find 50,000 pepole who give enough of a shit. :)

No. The premier league or anyone else cannot stop an individual producing replica's for their own personal use. they can however seek recompense if it is subsequently distributed.

This is probably a huge part of the reason for Konami giving us a crap editing system this year.

Play the game & enjoy. If all you want is licences, buy FIFA.

the premier league distributed the rights to show the matches and therefore take a large cut of the royalties, royalties that come from us through sky...... I have to agree on the 50,000 though. :)

Yeah, or Sultana... the epl take money from all areas, the fact they are not getting as measly few quid from an individuals, freely distributed OF's is frankly just laughable.

Who next? Nike? Diadora? Puma?

when my little boy asks dad why isnt there proper kits for the premier league?
i look at him and say "because they are a bunch of greedy bastar*s,that are taking the working class game of football and making sure only rich people can afford everything"

yeah there are adidas kits and puma kits on there so surely we should be able to do a blue adidas for chelsea and a red adidas for liverpool.
they dont own the colours red and blue ,and they dont own adidas!

 Touching story man! Hope you explained to him that by greedy bastards you weren't just referring to Frank Lumparse! :)

At least your son will be prepared early for dissapointment. It crops up far to often in the real world.

The Premier League should look at how their corporate ways are damaging football in England instead of little option files of how people are wanting to see how football should be played.

It's quite obvious they have little to do with their time all day long. Or they only care about the big investors that own your league.

What could be wrong with having games showing-off leagues, kits, players? It can only be good for business as it is another form of advertising.
Its not as if it's rights to show real matches.
Money-loving arseholes that's what its all about at the end of the day. It was the reason that konami had to remove the german league from pes series. I would love to know how much EA had to cough up for exclusive rights.

exactly..........if ought it should be the overway around, the premier league paying PES to have sponsors ect coz with all the sales PES brings imagine all the coverage, no doubt the addition could mean clubs demand a little more for advertising as well since it would be reaching more gaming folk, but money grabbers dont always think in the best logical way.

EA will be putting pressure on the Premier League I bet as they're forking out wedge to have these things in exclusively.

Why is it that they've never bothered to prosecute option files / patches until now? I guess socceraccess and the such will be under heavy fire then.

I understand that they *may* have a right to do what they're doing, but how come they're starting just now? Not like PES patching was unpopular before this year. Something fishy's going on, or they've caught the greedy virus.

Would love to boycott the PL, but i also love my club. I can't stop supporting my team or buying their merchandise despite my views on the league.

They have us by the balls in this respect, but they will never stop us sharing files. We'll just have to do it in a way they can't police.

They've been doing it with PesFan for a while, haven't they? I'm sure the Bundesliga teams weren't fully edited on their PES6 OF, you had to import your own badges and make your own kits. The reason it's only just catching up over here is probably that they weren't aware Pesgaming existed, whereas PesFan is the biggest fansite out there.

Im not sure what coprright has been broken with the 360 and ps3 options files, we have 4 individual teams kits from the prem, not the whole league with emblems etc....
I have a feeling they are just trying to scare and have no actual legal leg to stand on

and don't they have better things to do with their time..... i.e stamping out racism and cheating and corruption???

some one should email a paper or something with details or something, im sure a paper would love to get carried away saying shouldn't the prem be putting their time to better use than chasing around something like this
