I don't plan on buying PES until after the end of October patch. Would I still be able to install the game with the net unplugged such that I can get into the game to base copy the relevant players? Will it let you go into the game without forcing you online at least once?

Can you do all the merging on the PC first before you copy anything to the PS3? For me, I've not got any option file on my ps3, I was going to unpack 1.0 on my pc, then unpack 1.1 and merge that over 1.0, then 1.2 then 1.3 and so on. I was going to ask the same question. I have havn't yet installed any option file, was hoping that this problem with messing up options files only happened if you had one on before your updated to 1.3. But you are saying it makes no difference even if you put one over a default 1.3 install yeah?
