2 players and switching

Hi all,

For the last years i play pes with my m8 togheter against the comp, in pes 2010 the switching was a litle problem sometimes, whe where hoping that it was gonna change in the new version but now way, its more difficult than before and i don't know why konami fix it, is it because there are not that much people play togheter our is it just a bug in the game.
for example when i make a action and i fall suddenly my m8 is the person i was before without pussing the button, when whe make a corner and i am at the box when the ball getting played i am not the person anymore, that makes the game much harder and unrealistich for us, and it gives a lot off frustration 2 are there more people with the problem here ???? whe got the settings standing on half helping ( switching).

I have the same stupid problems playing with a friend. This engineered for freedom is total bullshit. Thing is from 2010 on they scripted the whole thing, but didn't think the game would be played on co-op mode. One obvious evidence of this is everytime a game starts you have to pause and put player 2 on the game. Stupid f#$@ing recurrent problem from 2010.

The set piece problem is the same thing. The reason it changes to another player is because when you are playing single player the game has to change from the player who just took the corner/free kick/whatever to the player that's gonna try to follow up on it. What they didn't think is that with 2 players someone is already there to follow up on the play, so the script automatically changes players altogether and the player you positioned to header or whatever just stands there like a wall.

But with PES11 they did it, they managed to absofuckinglutely screw up the co-op play. Now you can become, like you said, the player IN POSESSION. So there your friend comes down the left wing and you are desperately trying to change from your midfielder (because the player you change to in 2011 is totally random, even on single player) to your striker/right winger, but what does this FUCKING GAME DO? IT TURNS YOU INTO THE PLAYER WITH THE BALL, AND SUDDENLY YOU JUST RAN OFF THE PITCH LIKE A BLIND MORON.

So yes, there is more people with that problem. And no, don't expect konami to fix shit. They are a shitty company who can't patch anything to save their lives.

Yeah, the switching has always been a bit of a problem. You could try to turn assisted switching off or set it to semi-assisted. In the settings or before a match. Can't really remember where. Of course if you turn it off, you always have to press LB1 (left upper shoulder button) to switch. And I'm not sure how good that works. Haven't tried it yet. But the bug that makes you take control of the ball is seriously serious! A must fix!

The only time I can remember this working satisfactory was in PES5, which was imo the best PES ever. Why can't they try to recreate that game with modern graphics, free passing and 360 degree control? Would have been awesome.

This (and some other things regarding local multiplayer) ruins the game for me (usually only play when friends are visiting). When should I learn to not listen to the hype? ("PES is finally back, blah blah"). It has been a disappointment every year since PES6 (PC version, wich was great).

We played 2 players vs the CPU on pees since the old iss days and always played with what is now called semi-auto on the control system, it works much better that way. I've been doing that so long that I have to play single player that way too.

I've not tried co-op on PES2011 though so can't garauntee it will help you.

On PES release day, my two brothers and me always played a three way co-op. It has always been a good experience (even if the game was not always as we'd hoped!) but frankly PES 2011 is a disaster when trying to play with three on the same side! One minute you've got the ball, then you're someone else and then you're back on the ball again. It was so bad we had to stop and play something else!!! I dunno whether this is because of the Single Player programming - but whatever, it is well and truly broke. unfortunately, it's not the only part that feels busted and the annoying thing is that there's a good game in there trying to get out!!!

I only play semi-assisted. The problem persists.

Still no solution for this problem? This is driving me and my dad crazy. Playing co-op is not fun anymore but only an agony. We are willing to donate 100€ via paypal to whom can fix this problem.

Just shout it out when you get switched off. Once we realized it only happens when you lose control of the ball it was much easier to deal with.

i suspect that we will have to play pes2010 until 2012 comes out
