Hi guys i have found a problem this year playing with me and my bro on the same team in a community custom cup (i.e like the old konami cup tournament) when you create a cup tournament in community which is now the only way to create custom cups i select a team and cutomise the cup to play group league before knockouts then when we start the match and goto player selection my bro cant seem to move his controller over ? strange because we have tested all other game modes including champoins league and exhibition matches and before kickoff we just pause the game and move his controller over to my side and we play together but when creating a community cup like the old konami cup we can see his controller in the middle of the screen but he cant move it to any side ?? does anyone know how to do this ? thnx macca

p.s we even tried to add a community member so it says we now have 2 members in the community setup but still doesnt work ?

i have raised this issue with konami and here is the copy of the email from my phone conversation. ! i cant believe they took this option not to let another player join the same team , me and my bro have always played this way for 8+ years every weekend once a week ! and now we cant ...

Hi, After your call earlier I had an ask around among the team here, and unfortunately I can confirm there doesn't seem to be a way to have 2 players on the same team in the Konami Cup (or equivalent). You're right in thinking Konami seem to have removed this to stop people joining the COM team at the last minute and cheating, but you're also right in thinking this isn't an ideal solution to the problem. As a result, I'm going to forward the issue onto a higher department and stress how this is something people are really missing. I can only apologise for the inconvenience it's caused you, but I can assure you I will raise the issue with a higher department ASAP. Kind regards,Konami Support

all you need to do is select the option 'select sides' from the menu before you play your game.
*simples* ;)

Hi
I think this answers my more recent post but I don't see a select sides option in community mode. Where exactly does it appear?
Thanks

no i think your getting mixed up with other game modes i.e uefa champ league etc they have option for 2 players on same side, BUT COMMUNITY MODE YOU CAN NOT PLAY 2 PLAYERS SAME TEAM AS CONFIRMED BY KONAMI THEMSELFS ^.

I agree. Same problem here.

And not only that..., with PES2010, is impossible to play 2 vs 2 in community leagues and cups, even in player vs player games, because third and fourth pads stay at the center and you can´t choose any side.

My friends and me have been playing PES (PS version) since 2000, a day per week, always customized leagues and cups and always 2 vs 2.

But now is impossible in "community mode". You can do it with the standard "league/cup" mode, but not in "community".

Why can´t we choose freely our side in any game? I can not understand it.

I think it must be easy to fix.

Thanks in advance and sorry for my poor english...

I have the same problem which forced me to play the champions leauge. Which I would never have done because of the length. But I must admit I am prefering it apart from the struggle to win the cup in one night now. Those pesky play each other twice rules.

Theres lots of minor 2p coop problems that I have already mentioned on this site somewhere which makes me believe they just didnt even consider the people who like to play the game this way this year.

My new one is the throw ins where you throw to your partner and it changes player from him to you and vice versa. Its very random, (like a lot of things this year) sometimes it does, sometimes it doesnt.

I am very disappointed 2 player co-op is not achievable on a single console. If it is possible on any sysytem please let me know

It might be possible on the PC version, with the Kitserver patch. My mates and I have a similar joypad problem. We always played off line tournaments with some mates, and when we were playing against a CPU team another mate could move the joypad over in the Player Settings screen and play as the CPU opposition. This option has been disabled in the next gen versions :realmad:
Anyway, I was talking with one of the guys from the PC editing section, and he told me about the Kitserver patch, it fixes that problem. All you do is install it, then click on "Disable Controller Check", and that fixes it. I would imagine it fixes the problem of not being able to play 2v2 as well, though I'm not sure about that. Anyway, that's how easy it is to fix this problem, a problem that the developers have created in the next gen versions (it's still available on PS2 version of PES 2010), damn their stupid logic!
Check over in the PC editing section and maybe ask in there
