2 Questions about tactics

2 Questions about tactics:

- I like to play a 4-4-2 diamond formation. Do you know how I can instruct my Defensive Central Midfielder (DMC) not to hang back close to the two central defenders. But to stay in position IN FRONT OF the central defenders.

- When I switch between the formations (kick-off, attack, defense) used in the dynamic formation I see that between the attack and defense there is a switch of the players left midfielder and right midfielder. When I change it back it affects the other formation. I didn't choose for change sides. How can you stick your wingplayer to one side, in kick-off, attack and defense?

Your first question is a bit hard to answer without knowing your tactical instructions and the defensive midfielder in question. You could try training them in a different team role (build up, anchorman, box to box or destroyer). It's also worth checking the height of your defensive line and moving it back. You could also try keeping him in the same position but using x to change role from DM to CM. Also check his familiarity with your tactical instructions particularly the positioning and DEF Styles as flexible and all out defence for these two may cause him to drop deep.

Your 2nd question is a bit easier to answer as I had the same problem with Atlético and Koke and Griezmann swapping CM and SS positions. Go into the one where they are in the wrong position and rather than swapping them with A, hold it down and manually drag each player across to the other side. I did this and the other formations did not swap over.

Thanks for your reply. Definetly going to try that!
