Sorry if there is a thread about this.. PES winning eleven 2007 is out in a few weeks... Should I get it on the PS3 or the Xbox??? but I guess asking you guys would be useless seeing how you only know the Xbox version... I must say, I have a wii.. and the possibility of playing on a sixaxis controller seems pretty cool... I think you'll be able to do the marseille roulette by twisting the the remote to whatever side you want to do the move... any comments???

It's not coming out on the PS3 until PES7.....or whatever you wanna call it where your from. Xbox 360 got exclusive Next-Gen rights to PES6 so it won't be out on the PS3 or the Wii.

I hope this version of PES/WE isn't as bad as Pro Evo 6, very poor game I think! I mean no German League, No editor, no replays etc.! and Reebok splattered everywhere!

Also, are XBOX 360 games region-free?

I heard some XBOX 360 games were region-free...must be bullshit though, I was sure I read that somewhere

That's true. ;)

Some Xbox 360 games sold on play-asia.com are region-free.

No idea why only some games are region-free and others have a region lock on them though.

Yea seems kinda stupid, play-asia.com don't deliver to the UK do they? Because you can buy a PS3 for £350 and the games for £35.

They probably deliver most things to the UK but I doubt they'd accept an order from a European customer for a Japanese PS3.

Remember, it's illegal for any company in Japan or America to accept orders for the PS3 from European customers.

And play-asia.com being the popular site that it is, I suspect that they'd reject any order for a PS3 from a European customer.

You might get lucky with some small US or Japanese retailers though. Due to their size and lower profit margins, they'd probably willingly accept PS3 orders from European customers.

its not just with the PS3. It says on all their products that no deliveries to EU Countries. any why is it illegal anyway?

Cos Sony were right dicks and sued them saying it was losing them money, they put another respectable company outta business by doing the same thing. All of a sudden cos of the PS3 Sony have become import hating wanks.

Because Sony stands to lose a lot of money.

A Japanese PS3 in Japan retails at only £270. The only reason why the price is that low down there is because of the way the Japanese economy is and the fact that the yen isn't a very strong currency.

If every European went and bought a Japanese PS3, then Sony would stand to lose around £100-£150 on each console.

Yea but Sony know they're still gonna lose money on every console, but they said they plan to make it back with online demos and download's etc.

Maybe I should rephrase my earlier comment.

Sony stands to lose around £100-£150 on each console imported from another region on top of the loss of putting a Blu-Ray drive in the PS3.

I'm no financial expert but I suspect that the losses are already in 6 and 7 figure sums.

Sure, Sony can try to make back all those losses through the online demos and downloads their offering but I know for a fact that if Sony want to make any kind of profit on the PS3, then they must lower their asking price. It's the only way they're going to attract more sales.

They had to do something similar for the PS2 if I remember correctly.

Who says Sony don't screw their customers over? Particularly their European customers.
