A new way of thinking

Going to give you a brief history of my time with pes 12 so you can understand where I am at now...

I bought the game on release day, thought it was great, couldn't get enough of it. I soon realised that the barca/real noobs pretty much destroyed the fun of normal ranked matches for me so I soon switched my attention to MLO. Damn I loved it, my soon to be wife on the other hand DID NOT :w00t Anyway the fact that as you win you get better players had mre hooked. That and occasionally getting one over on the superstar teams. I always wanted to get in that 'one last game' or enough money to get that signing you had earmarked that would take you to the next level. I couldnt wait to get up to the point where I had a superstar team. Then the problems started....

I started playing DIV 1 teams that had the same tactics and players, every match was starting to be the same. Through ball over the top using pace, or just give it to ronny and run through my whole team, if ronny isn't free theres always messi, or pato, or villa, or robben, you get the jist of it. Now incase anyone thinking its not because I am a bad player who cannot defend etc, my rating is in the 600's and I would argue I could beat anyone. It just got boring, frustrating conceding the same poxey crappy goals. Even when I won it gave me no satisfaction as I found my team had become boring. It was starting to become just 'another' div 1 team. After my control pad took a battering through my anger, countless trash talking messages from loser noobs telling me how they were better blah blah I had enough and didnt play pes for 2 months.

When I came back I decided to give it a different approach, I support liverpool so I thought thats the route Id go down. I sold off basically my whole team and went for a liverpool MLO team. The only changes I have made is the wingers, downing is crap and liverpool are screaming for some pace on the wings. Also some players (gerrard) are still out of my price range but I will get them in time. Like I said its majority liverpool.

I have included bale who is a dreaded speed merchant. Unlike many others though I feel he actually warrants the SM card. Its a normal real life occurance than he gets his head down at the half way line and runs runs runs. Plus I dont abuse him, actually most noobs are so scared of the threat I have with bale that thye just back off and in turn let me play a killer pass to suarez or carroll. Talking of carroll, damn he is crap BUT you cant beat the feeling of knocking in a few goals with him and knowing you opponent would almost certainly be rage quitting were it not for the contracts he would lose.

Obv form arrows have an effect on my team so I have a second eleven. I couldnt go all liverpool so I stuck to premiership with some liverpool

Crouch and Balotelli are there for comical value lol. Anyway playing with this team has made me enjoy pes again. I dont even care that I still play the same old teams over and over, I love beating these teams with my superior ability but insuperior team! I also like taking a stance against what I hate, speed merchant abusers with their one tracked way of thinking. Hope to meet you soon so Carroll can use his pace to get behind the back four and his brilliant finishing ability to pop it into the top corner.....

Your all post was very logical but I disagree with one point.
Why you have Bale if you hate speed merchants and if he is not in Liverpool?

The same reason I have a.johnson, coz liverpool wingers are very poor and i hate downing so refuse to use him. Also i thought i vindicated my inclusion of bale but il try again. I dont hate ALL speed merchants, iam not against having them. What iam against is the fact that with this card villa is as good a dribbler as messi and ronaldo. Like i said i feel bale does warrant this card and its an accrurate reflection of how he is in real life. Also the way most people use speed merchants iam against, they ram their whole 5 forward line fall of speed merchants and just run, keeping hold of rb the whole game.

Should you feel this is not true to my liverpool tactic then just shift bellamy in from my second xi, i mix it up a lot anyway.

IMHO, david villa is probably one of the best player of his era. He deserves the speed merchant card if you say bale should get the speed merchant card.

Bale keeps the ball closer to him than David Villa- He does long knock-ons eventhough Bale can do it sometimes

I disagree. There is no doubting Villas quality, especially when he plays for Spain, but he is not, and never has been, a speedy dribbler to compare with the likes of bale and messi. He is a finisher, lethal infront of goal as his valencia and spain stats show. This is the problem with the SM card, its so rigid, you can give it a crap player such as mphela and he can dribble aswell as robben.

I agree with you concerning the way people just play now, through ball over, Eto , PAto , Mphela , Lavezzi, etc, and so on, nice messages after game, I think all that is pathetic , well I as a gooner I am I bought almost all Arsenal player and I play with them, I have Villa too , but I don't go through with him, I wonder whether there is a community were there are still real football players (I'd like PES to be a simulation but it's too late for that), do you know some ones?
