I just gave my vote. Hopefully this petition will have success. It can´t be that EA for example can cut out licenses out of PES 2014 like stadiums just because of exclusive deals. I think it´s to much about moneymaking these days
BTW: rep added for this great thread

Hey everybody,

a big thank you to all of you for signing the petition and an even bigger thank you to those of you who shared it afterwards!
If we fight for this together we can make it work!

It took the petition just 2 days to reach 1000 supporters, we are currently at 1325.
But to make our voices heard we obviously have to reach even more people out there.

Now how are we going to do that?

Pro Evolution Soccer has 9 million likes on facebook, and there are still a couple more million fans who are not following it on facebook, twitter or any other social networks. Potentially all of those 9 million+ people would be in favor of this petition. The problem is that we will have to spread the word about the petition and reach these people first for them to have the chance to sign it!
Remember, sharing the licenses will also benefit FIFA fans so there's always the chance to tell FIFA fans about the petition as well and ask them to sign it. The petition is for all of us!

This is a fight Konami have lost again and again. But let us show Konami how it is done! No matter what you think about their faults, we are not doing this for Konami, we are doing this for ourselves! Surely if we got even a small percentage of those 9 million people to sign it, the petition would create a stir and get some attention.

So I would like to ask you to do any of the following things to help us promote OUR opinion. Lets get our voices across!

- ask your friends to sign it
- create topics about the petition on football/pes/fifa/fm/gaming forums
- the petition can be signed once per email address, so if you got secondary mail addresses you can use those to sign it as well
- make sure that once it is posted on forums it won't be forgotten, keep the topics alive

Every football fan could potentially be in favor of this petition! We just need them to know about it!

Let us fight for this together, we are the fans, we are many, our opinion matters!

For the love of the beautiful game, sign and share the petition, and tell others to share it as well!

Do you really think (eg) The Premier League is gonna be swayed by a thousand e-signatures over EAs millions of pounds?

I'm sure Ali is right, but it's worth a try. If licenses were equally shared then maybe the programmers would actually try a bit harder to make the games better, rather than just using their financial and marketing power to boost sales.

Ali No but if the EU or OFT can look into they will carry far more power than any of the clubs.

The consumers are being shortchanged in both games but also no new competitors can enter the arena due to this.

http://www.examiner.com/article/nba-gets-it-right-with-game-licenses-to-take-two-ea-sports

this is how all the football leagues should be operating as this pushes developers to make their products as good as they can be.

Just my 2 pence worth, but there is no point worrying about EU law or anything else. The reason there can be up to 2 PL teams or 3 Bundesliga teams is because of the EU laws against monopolies. If it didn't exist then there would be no Man Utd or Bayern in PES.

Fair play to you for getting this started, but the sad truth is leagues can make much more money from signing exclusive licenses with one company than they ever would from signing with two companies. Even if once the current agreements end Konami offered more money than EA for say the PL license, then they would just go back to EA who would then offer even more.

Like I said sad, but that's business & whether we like it or not both football & video games are exactly that, businesses ;)

It is a shame. Especially for a supported of a shit team like me. It'll probably be a very long time before I see us in a PES game again. Yes, I can use one of the wonderful option files to add Bolton to the game... but it's not the same is it? With that being the case, Fifa is the only real option. I've been able to look past PES's shitness because I could start a ML as Bolton.... but not anymore. :(
It'd be nice if in the future, PES could add an un-licensed Championship, with real player names, but fake team names an kits. It is after all one of the most competitive leagues in the world.

Its a video game and millions and mllions of people play football for the love of the game but sadly moneys ruined it

Why does it need monoplising? For example no one would buy a game game without the actual brands as it wouldnt feel like a car game

If they stop have these exclusive licenses I think it would benefit everyone else

At least the NHL series of gaming doesn't do the exclusive deals with the league. But I guess EA pays some of the leagues so well they get it exclusively.

I'm actually glad it's not fully licensed. Without them, you can change kit/sponsor each season, and the league patch can change for cups etc.
In FIFA with it's 'full' licenses, when you get promoted from Championship to BPL for eg, your team still has Championship badge on sleeve.

I'm hoping for next year (I haven't got Pro Evo 2014) they add the back png for shirt shorts and socks

I heard you can now add sleeve short and sock pngs on now all it needs is the back and maybe lots of collar options and them you will get a perfect Pro Evo edit mode (Ill have to try it out when I get the game)

I think Pro Evo should concentrate on getting the national team and World Cup/Euros licensed as I feel it looks like a international/cup (feels like your playing in the champions league) game unlike FIFA which feels more like a league game

I think international teams should have more licensing as then Fifa don't concentrate on international football (which is sad) where as Pro Evo can maybe try and get more international teams licensed

Yeah i agree, more international teams and competitions is a must, but as long as they keep the edit system as they are claiming it is this year, then all should be fine.
They have 3 fake leagues this year to allow for more official leagues to be created, and i also read somewhere that there are unlimited emblem slots this time round, so kits/teams should be able to be created to near perfection. (if you're willing to put the time in)
