please forgive me forum fans.last nite my girlfriends bro came round our house to say that he had bought a ps2 and needed to know some decent games to play on it.well...you know me,all heart and no brain.have a look at this i said,as i loaded pro evo 2.well,it blew him away.cant let you borrow it i said,i play it every nite.tears welled in his eyes, his lip trembled and my missus gave me a look which said "do you ever want sex with me again?".in short people i had no choice!! here,i said.you can borrow it for 1 nite.his face lit up and his eyes dried.off he went clutching the jewel of my ps2 collection.what harm could 1 nite away from pro evo do?? i'll tell you what harm it did.i couldnt touch my ps2 that nite because it would have been like cheating on my missus. good idea at the time but wake up in the morning feeling awful.anyway i am now re-united with my evo 2 and getting to know each other again.we are not rushing into it as we want to make sure we love each other.the moral is DONT LOAN YOUR COPY OUT TO ANYONE.it could wreck your relationship...with evo 2.next time her bro comes round he's havin a copy of simpsons skateboarding!!stay safe people, hide the evo.

Unlucky there mate.
Good that you are now reunited.

You could have tried playing PES1.
And the PES2 demo disk is always good for a laugh.

BTW, how old is he?

I really thought he was like 7 or something based on his reactions!

Oh well, maybe he saw the quality of the game and couldn't help himself.
You should make him swear he will promote PES/WE and diss fifa to everyone he knows.

man..just give him yours game, and buy yourself another one. problem solved. the worst case scenario would be if he tries to kill you in your sleep trying to get the game under your pillow :D

Most people will always go for fifa due to the massive advertising they do.
And that does cost a lot of money which Konami won't be doing.

Maybe if a rogue element of vandals went around ripping down all fifa posters and putting up nice PES/WE ones, it could make a little difference!

I'd say it's mostly parents and other relatives who buy the crappy fifa games for their kids or whatever because they don't know anything at all about games and get influenced by the ads and the players in the ads.

Sad.

eksol, I think a 21-year-old can be mature enough to go and buy his own game rather than cry like a baby to get someone else's.
That's just a spoilt attitude being like he was.

rebusrahman, there are a few other games out there and some of them are good!

Games

Has anybody played This is Football..... ? A couple of friends I see now and again have it and they cannot get enough of it. Just wondered if it was anywhere as good as PES2?

TIF is slightly better than FIFA but still a poor quality game.
It's even worse than ISS2 or ISS3.

The players all look like gorillas and are plain scary!
But in it's favour, it does have all the licences for names, clubs etc and decent commentary.

No probs, MarkyP.
If you are curious, you could try to borrow or rent it.
It is easy to notice that they tried to imitate PES but failed.
But there is a good option which is their equivalent of master league where you start with a schoolboy team playing on a school pitch and you have to build them up to be great.

I sometimes switch it for WE6:FE or a new game but it always end up with PES2.

I think I will rent it although that is valuable time lost from playing PES2 is'nt it.

By the way Zygalski. Did you score that free-kick in the picture under your name?;)

:) I've been asked that before! :)

I just got the pic from a site reviewing the game.
But if it had been me, I probably would have got it on target, with the keeper tipping it over for a corner.

Blasted one under the wall yesterday with Shevchenko but the keeper was alert and pushed it wide.

The only time i scored a free kick under the wall was actually against my girlfriend. She decided that she wanted to play, so I was telling her what to do and how to play, so I told her that if she keeps pressing the 'B' button it would make the players in the wall jump. So she did. And I blasted my freekick under the wall and it went in. I had to pretend I didn't mean to do it mind.

My copy of PES2 is currently with a mate. Not a good idea. Still, I've got Haven and CM 01/02 to keep me going. Both good games. :D
