I don't get it. PES only has what 5 leagues? and only 3 or 4 of them are actually licensed? I know EA has a hold on some of the most popular leagues in Europe but how about expanding a little. The Argentine, Russian, Greek, Chilean, Japanese, Colombian, and plenty of other great leagues out there are not in Fifa. I would buy 10 copies of this game if the Chilean league was in it. I mean don't take out any of the big leagues it has now but add some South American and other support.

And if they can't get the licensing for new leagues, don't bother. I'm already leaning towards Fifa 09 right now because of the half finished game konami put out last year, but some new exciting leagues and licensing would change some people's minds.

What i really miss is a Round Rubin. I want, when i am playing with 7 or 10 or 15 people to play against each other and not some kinda knock out. I want everyone to play against each other. So if you 15 people everyone plays 14 times and after that the one with the most points win. Like in a league.

The knockout thing is not really my thing when playing against others. also the Round rubin makes things interesting which you had in ISS98 on ps1

your forget it is all about liscence... other than fifa you have FM(footy manager) which also fights for a liscensce....

but you answer me would you get excited if the K league or columbian league was in pes 09? i want the good leagues like spanish, italian, holland, portugese top, german top, which are in the current games.... the only thing i demand is the prem.... but i think the lower leagues are not in demand

Who the fuk wants to play in those leagues.....no1, so why the fuk would they waste their budget getting them just so we have a few more teams in ML to beat. The leagues are fine as they are. Maybe have Portugese and german but it doesnt rly matter so long as you have the best teams from each.

Before those leagues are added Konami need to add lower leagues like The Championship and all the other lower divisions for the leagues aready in the game.

No, big leagues first then lower leagues. But lower leagues would be a massive waste of time. ML is better than fifa's career mode where all the league are real

Italian Serie A

Spanish La Liga

English Premier League

German Bundesliga

Argentine (AFA) Primera Division

Dutch Eredivisie

And adding a couple of teams from around the world; Zenit (Russia), Olimpiakos (Greece), Panathinaikos, Celtic, FC Porto, Benfica, Santos FC (Brazil), etc, etc..

Nothing more is needed really.. no Colombian League, no Chilean League, no Greek League, no Japanese League, etc, etc.. Honestly, who buys a Football game in order to play in the Chilean League??

Although, it would be cool to play in the (underrated) CONMEBOL Copa Libertadores.

Dnt expect these leagues to be in PES within the next few years. I hope they do include more leagues in the next few years tbh

FIFA Manager mode > Master league seriously

fuk yh, fifa's is so confusing and gets tiresome quick whereas ML is everlasting and lets the gameplay do the talking. I canot for the life of me either, see what is so appealing about the fantastista mde thingy. wtf? how could it be fun. i did it euro 2008 and it was boring as fuk. why control 1 player when you could have the team. it got boring after like 5 mins. i dont want it coming near my pes

That's just YOUR opinion adding lower leagues would be interesting because it would make promotion and relegation in Master League that much better.

Now either you have both contacts in the same eye or your just mucking about here. but did you actually say Pro Evo's Master League is better than Fifa's Career Mode??

Just look at the difference in one of the leagues in both games:

PES Master League 'Randonmly Named League'

Fifa Career Mode Scottish England League

ML is better cos it is simple as you play your players develop and if you get to like 2033 like i did in 6 then you'll have a squad of players with 99s in the bucket load. In fifa there is no development, its all to confusing, too boring and too realistic. creating your own leagues in ML is way funner than playing in an all england league and maybe playing with wolves is fun on fifa cos all the players are the same but on pes it would be shit cos crap teams in pes are crap.

+ who actually ever gets relegated in ML? i've finnished 1st in every pes since 2 so i can only see the teams coming up as interesting and i would much rather be getting benfica getting promoted into my league than some german 2nd division team ive never heard of.

It would just distract them from doing fun stuff like the CL of designing stuff cos they would have to spend so much time finding out what every player is like for this team they've never heard of

What would be perfect for me is;
Premier League EPL
Bundesliga
Eredivisie
Seria A
La Liga
Ligue 1
Portuguese League (dont know the name of it lol)
and then a huge handfull of teams from across the globe.

id say no to argintine leage and bring in the SPL that would be cool...... ive always said this the only thing that i feel would make the ML better would be the opertunity to levae a club and manage another one... i would like to have my created player in italy then england plus i think i would get bored of playing with one team for how ever many years it lasts....

When did PES get the German and Argentine leagues? All I saw in 2008 was River and Bayern Munich.

Anyway, I guess Fifa is the game for me then. I didn't realize PES fans were so closed minded and have no interest outside of europe. Without the fans demanding it, konami won't do it. nevermind.

Dude, did I ever said that PES had the Argentine and German Leagues?? NO! I only said that those are the Leagues I would like to see in future PES versions.

Anyways, I guess you just like crappy Football games. Nevermind.

By the way, closed minded?? That is what best describes FIFA fans, FIFA fans who bought every crappy FIFA game that EA Sports released -just- because they had the LICENSES. Now that's what I call closed minded fans.

I also think that the fans who say that "PES08 is the best Football game so far" -are- very closed minded.

dude i play both fifa and pes, im not closed minded but i feel pes is betterbecause i have tried both and this year will be no diff....just because fifa has better graphics dont really mean much if they still have the shit gameplay they have year in year out then pes will be better for that year....

The problem with licensing is that EA, quite cleverly, only obtained a license for FIFA (The global governing body) and as FIFA overlooks all leagues, players etc, EA have virtually unlimited access to everything from kit designs to stadia and every player. As every league must apply to the country's FA - which is ruled by FIFA - before being established, EA automatically gain rights to create those leagues. This enables them to say they have licensing from every league but that is a lie. They only have licensing from FIFA. Konami on the other hand, need to apply to make every league, team, player, boot and stadia and that costs A LOT OF MONEY.

More People Watch European Football Than Any Football Outside Of Europe All Put Together. Half The Guys Who Are 'closed Minded' Are South Americans And Asian Who Just Want To Play In The Elite Competitions!
