AI becomes much easier to beat over the seasons

Has anyone ever felt that the AI in ML becomes easier to beat as the seasons goes by?
And it hasn't anything to do with the fact that the human player manages to build a World Class team over the years. It really has to do with the AI itself.

I'm now playing my 5th season with Newcastle, and in Superstar mode I'm able to beat the AI with considerably less effort than before. I've won the last 10 games or so in a very easy and disappointing fashion.
I mean, the AI dribbling, defending and shooting just seemed to have suffered a mysterious downgrade, and this applies to all the teams.

This is just spoiling my gaming experience, as I hate easy challenges.

For me, it gets way harder on PS3 that is. I think for me its because the CPU start getting aware of my tactics and can suddenly know where I'm going to place a pass or where I'll shoot. When I first tried out superstar difficulty eveything felt free and the CPU didn't make Puyol interceptions and actually misplaced passes. However as the seasons of my ML progressed, the AI did wonder passes or volleys that Van Basten could never master. Whenever their player made an interception, instead of it rebounding, it stuck to the players feet as if he had 99 technique and the 'scripting' came clear to me. After the first few seasons, it was all about outplaying the scripts

This is only my experience but I know others have gone through it the same

I would fully agree with this. When I start a new masterleague, even with a good team, the difference in AI cheating (unstoppable dribbling, outrageous keeper errors and weird player passing) is obviously much greater than my long standing masterleague (6 seasons).

I think that the overall ratings of your squad, overall ratings of the players you pick, and also the amount of investment you make (i.e. in the fan club and youth team) impact upon the scripting. Just an opinion but it seems to be true (for me!).

This being said my masterleague is SO MUCH MORE FUN now the AI cheating is toned down. It is still there in full force for domestic cup games though...
