All PS2 PES5 Online Connection Issues/Problems Thread

Seems like I'm strugling with the same problems as many others here. When I get to the "Testing Network Enviorment" thingie it just stops. Well the music keeps playing and the text bar is blinking, so I'm guessing it hasn't completely frozened up. Anyways... My nettwerk adapter has that cable that goes in back of the modem, and the testing of netwerk always goes well.... Any idea what this could be ?

Did anyone find a solution on it ? I wanna go online!

Ok cats...listen up!

I managed to get online last saturday, but now it's my mate that has been bitten by the online germ. We tried to hook him up last night, but we couldn't register him a user account in the game....hmm

Been reading trough some pages here now, and I read that the "Can not register" problem can be solved if I register an account for him at my place and just pass him his details...is that all it takes ?

Please help out two of norways biggest and most dedicated PES fans..

Is anyone else having lag issues?
Obviously im fine in the one half when im hosting but when my opponent is hosting there is ALWAYS lag albeit sometimes very little but ive never played a game without it. Most of the time its considerable lag too!

Ive got a 2mb connection, got the BT Yahoo games package router etc..
I play with my PC off and i was speaking to the one guy after the game and he had a 4mb connection so i cant see why there would be lag.

Is something set up wrong ?

Yeah. I Have exactly the same problem. When I am attacking on right side everything is perfect, but the other half I have lag,every game is the same problem.I also tryed on diferent connections and was the same.Please help to solve this problem...

which ports do I have to open and how do I open them to play pes5 online with a netopia 3346 router, I stay in switzerland and I play FIFA 2006 without problem but when I bought pes5 and tried the online stuff its hangs in the testing network environment place, please someone help me with this pardon my english I hope its understandable

I didnt open any ports - I just skipped through all the technical parts when opening my account - I believe it opens the right ports etc automatically

this is because when you host a game, you start off playing on your connection, eg you have 2 meg broadband so the speed of the game is smooth. at half time, the connextion swaps to the other person so you will be playing on his/her connection. this can sometimes be 512 or even 256kb speed which will obviously create 'lag' in the game speed. the normal rate is 1 meg, so anything above that will play like a charm.

the order is opposite if you are connecting to someone elses match room, you'll start playing on their connection and then change at half time etc.

the best thing to do is to only play people with green connection.....

I know nothing about those routers so I would suggest you speak to BT as they are your internet provider.

No problem but that Testing Network Environment doesnt mean anything. You get that even if your ps2 isnt connected to anything - I would suggest that you are not online. Are you positive its an ethernet cable ?

When im winning in german servers especially opponent stops the game. i wait for the timer to get zero but when it is zero the game doesnt start and when i quit i lose.. What is this problem what can i do??

i need help, i try and get on the PES network but i dont know the password at the same screen as the registration key.
ive got the reg key but someone plz help me and giv me the password

its because you have to choose a password for your game key in the autorun menu there s a link named user registration there you can choose your pass..

right guys i have a problem.ive been inactive on online play for a while due to liberty city stories taking up my time,anyway i fancied a game the other night and tried to get online on my ps2 pes5 and i can get as fas a to create a match room or joining a match room then it suddenly says lost connection,this is so frustrating im not a newbie at this and have over 600 games online and obviously it has worked before so has anyone any ideas what to do regarding my very annoying situation.
