There was a rumour going round that Pro Evolution Soccer 4 was to be released early in a number of shops throughout the country, notably Disk n Disks in Hanley, Stoke. I have just spoke to the shop, who have confirmed they were mistaken, and that whilst they believed it was released this Friday, (8th) they are instead releasing ity the next Friday (15th). Shame!
I know there are many posts regarding the release dat but i hope this one clears them up once and for all.
One other thing, yes, the release date is scheduled to be the 15th October, but i have always been able to purchase the Game from the Game store in wolverhampton a couple of days early. So, my suggestion is just ask about its availability starting on Tuesday 12th October, as by Thursday, they will probably be releasing it!

i will correct you on this, i have received a couple of ps2 games from play.com a number of days prior to actual release date! shops and internet sites are not supposed to, but sometime some get processed before the actual date. im hoping play.com send mine in advance!

Like every rumour, it orginated by word of mouth. Someone said they were speaking to a shop keeper, who had got his wires crossed and said the game was coming out a week earlier! Thus sparking a frenzy.
Also, i have NEVER got a PES game on the friday, i have always got it a few days before, from Game. Last year on the thursday, the year before on the wednesday. You normally have to ask them, but they don't mind, because put it this way, on the friday, more shops have released it, and therefore they have more competition for the sale!
Anyway, its still 7+ Days away, and until then, THUG 2, and the original PES3 will tide me over!

if you order it from a website you have every chance of recieving it on wednesday or thursday especially if you get free next day delivery like i did, however shops can be reported and fined for selling it early. where as if they post you the game.........whos gonna know ;)

One thing that I know for certain is that PES4 will be available at Futurezone a games shop here in Rotterdam (The Netherlands) on the 14th of October.

i got it on wednesday too from gamestation in cross gates, leeds. they were selling early cos everywhere else was.

i reserved it game(formely know as electroic boutiques),i heard on the pes forum last year that game in oxford street were selling early,i rang game in darlington where i live they were no way u'll have to wait until friday so i rang the game in newcastle(which is 40 miles away from me)and they were like yeah we are selling it cos shops have broken their release date.

i think a similar thing might happen this year

Got my copy on the weds b4 last yr in Game, Oxford st.
Maybe if we beg them enough we can get some1, somewhere to break the street date! Then there's no stopping the other places.
Every1 get on the phones or in their faces from monday!
