All this licensed kit rubbish.........

Ok, the correct kits always look great but am I the only person who enjoys CHANGING the kits about? The moment you have all the kits fully licensed you can't do that anymore.

I change my ML kit every two seasons, it's quite cool and I've come up with some crackers. It'd be a shame to lose that.

Yeah but in the PS2 PE5 version you can't change Chelsea's or Arsenal's.

I really do sound like a noob, I haven't got a clue about all this patching stuff.

Nor have I mate, no clue whatsoever, all my editing is done in-game.

If someone made the best patch ever and said everythings BANG UP TO DATE, i'd stare blankly at them and wouldn't have a fucking clue what to do with it. Max drive this and patch that, i'm lost just thinking about it.

They should make an option to edit the licensed teams kits in the edit mode for future pes releases, it'd be a good idea to be honest.

it's an obvious idea surely but probably (PROBABLY) won't happen because of licensing laws.

I bet anyone 20p that we won't be able to change the kits and part of the magic will be lost forever.

licensed kits have been decrypted there are a few threads over at evo-web regarding this. tools that are being used for this are soon to be released (well hopefully) then I have read that it's possible to take kit's out of the game and insert kit's for teams like man u and Liverpool this could result in individual patches like an English prem league patch and other country patches until all unlicensed kits are decrypted.

I'll second that.

I don't have a friggin clue what patching is and to be honest....don't think I want to.

Am I the only person in the world that enjoys making the kits? I don't start any competitions or leagues until I'm at least done with all the player names, transfers, kits and team names, flags and emblems. I then do the boots, appearances etc. in time.

I Edited all the strips in my game myself, I didn't get a patch. Some look really good and when I play against them I feel a 'small' sense of achivement. There needs to be a bit more scope though, I mean the strips these days have logo's and writing on the sleeves etc..... At first I think oh I can't be arsed to change all that 'again' but when its done I do enjoy it. So I am gonna sit on the fence.

People wonder why konami don't allow licensed kit editing but look at it from their point of view. Why spend money on licenses for kits etc....for the kits to then be changed.

A good point but just raises questions. I mean, fully licensed games sell. That is a fact. Why else does FIFA *ptooeee* survive?

Once the game has been sold why should they care if some people fiddle about with it? Loads won't. It'd finally take the market from FIFA *ptooeee* IMO.

More License Teams just isn't about the kit but also the name of team used by the announcers. Hearing Man Red and Merseyside Red annoys some people. I for one do like the option to edit the kits because they change so often on the national teams and club teams.

i think they should keep it all editable, I have an option file that is as good as the real thing, and it gives me the flexibility to change the kits, or even make my own away kits for the ML

Its a shame they cant get the real team names, but other than that I much prefer it to licensed kits.

A few years back (PES2, PES3) I used to spend ages editing all the kits in PES, but that was when there were a small amount of kit designs, and you couldn't add sponsors, etc.

Now I just make the main transfers and edit the Champions league teams, and any other teams I like. I prefer to be getting on with playing the game rather than caring if the Arminia Bielfield reserve players have the right make of boots.
