This is a small suggestion, but I think it's the kind of thing that is clearly beneficial and easy to implement.
For example, say I select Jaric as my FK taker for left and right side corners. Now, we all know that Jaric can't play every game, and when he does sit on the bench the CPU defaults to the player who is in Jaric's position (SB), who is quite likely not the next best choice.
So, the suggestion is that we should either be allowed to pick a top three, or maybe even have the option of letting the CPU always choose the best player based on stats.
This seems like such a small thing, but it will really help keep us from wasting time always having to select different kickers when our choice is on the bench. Basically, it will improve the flow of the gameplay experience, which would be especially true for online play.
This could also be implemented for PKs, direct FKs, and even captains.
