Ok, I received the game last week and have been playing in the online section (not the one where you win points or anything, just the no strings one)

I always play as Liverpool, I don't consider myself a great player but didn't think I was a shit one either

Every person (if it really is a person) seems to play as Real Madrid, Barcelona or a similar galactico filled team

I work really hard at trying to win, some games I have 65%+ possession, more passes, more shots on target but pretty much always lose because my shots don't go in

My passes (short ones) rarely reach the team mates, opposition players seem to make my players bounce of them all the time and I lose the ball

All other players seem stronger than mine, they touch my men and I lose the ball

Pretty much everybody beat's me, no matter what formation I use or how I set up my players

I am nowhere near giving up, in fact I find this highly addictive, it would just be nice for some of my shots to go in and to win once in a while :(

So am I just shit or is there some magic recipe I am missing out on ?

Do Liverpool require a specific formation and setting up OR can I never win with them ?

Any tips or tricks or offers of help would be greatly appreciated

Sorry for my whiny and poorly constructed thread, I am not very good at doing this either

Anybody able to offer any assistance in the shape of formations, tactics or ways of overcoming some of my poor playing skills (compared to most people i meet online) ?

The problem with online is most people will always pick Barca or Real & use all the exploits the game has. They also mostly play with full pass assistance.

Maybe try a few games playing with one of these teams to see if it is the way you play or not.

Another option is to try & find some groups where people play with different teams.

Hey paul2478, thank you for replying to me with this advice

In all my years of playing I had not heard of 'full pass assistance', this is something I will certainly look into tomorrow

Also I will try and find an online group for some friendly UK/Euro people, hopefully somebody will notice my thread and will invite me (please) that would be nice
