"An Error Has Occurred" problem

hi guys!

i have a problem, i bought the game and was playing online earlier today, but now when i try to login it just tells me: "An Error Has Occurred" and i cannot go inside.

does anyone else have this problem??

It's nothing to do with a Konami patch. It happened to me last night where it popped uip with the error when I tried to go online.

It happens (if you're using PS3) because you need to update your system to v2.50. I updated mine last night and took about 45 minutes on a 3mb connection.

It's Sony's sly way of making sure you update to their firmware, same principle as PSP in that you can't play newer games unless you updgrade the firmware.

i have the same problem, also the pc version, since yesterday i get the error therefore it works fine. what patch will be available tomorrow jachig?

I had that error when joining a match room, but after i disabled all extra network connections from control panel (hamachi network in my case) it was solved.

Can I just ask, as a novice.. I'm getting the game on 360 and (don't fall in shock) I don't play online, don't have a wireless thing for it... should I expect to be told "an error has occured" and in such an event should I hold off getting the game?

no, another reason i like my 360 more than my PS3 is the fact we do not have to spend 20 minutes installing everygame we purchase, and getting online is a helllllll of a lot easier, do dont worry about that my 360 friend, we shall be fine!

I dunno if effects the PC, but on the PS3 a warning came up at the start saying that the servers may be down and should expect to lose connection for a few days etc etc. May just need to wait for things to settle down.

no that isn't it worked well for me untill tuesday night after that i get the error all the time.

on tuesday it were still test servers, today the servers came online at 13.00pm but it still doen't work here.

yes here the same got 2 different konami id's but they don't work still error error error :( and they say servers are ready and fully functional NOT!

It's ok now!!! Went home and had a quick go on my lunch, played someone with a red dot and it played perfect, no lag whatsoever....woohoo!
