PES 3 was ok, but the way players turned and shooting in it was pish, PES 4 was good tho, a lot faster, people seem to not like it as much, but i like fast paced action, never do anything slow. PES 5 was slow and niggly thats what put me off, but 6 is sorta in between the 2, pace wise. I got Winning Eleven 10 and even tho its a little more arcadey, I like the fast pace, just more enjoyable to me, I can be all serious too, but i prefer having fun

WE7 was enjoyable. It was easy as you can dribble around entire defenses with mediocre dribblers. Players don't develop or retire in the ML if I remember correctly but what I really liked was that you can train the youth players condition, consistency, and special abilities. Why you can't do that now is beyond me. Also lots n lots of handballs :happy:

I'm well and truly finished with video games, period. Apparently, you can't accurately reproduce the intuitiveness and creativity of a REAL football team. So why even try? They've had countless attempts to replicate the game for what it is. In my opinion, they have failed. There is more than ONE INTELLIGENT BEING on the field at one time in real life. <- That is the main reason I've stopped playing these games until somebody can produce a game with 22 PLAYERS instead of 21 droids and ONE player..

If the A.I of computer games over the last 20 years has anything to go by, then I can only see it getting better and better. To replicate a football game is one of the hardest things to do with it being such a complex sport, it's incredibly dynamic which is why it's so diffcult to replicate.

Well, why the hell can't they leave it like it is instead of tweaking EVERY damn year. It went from pretty decent in PES4 to pretty damn good in PES5 to utter crap in PES6/WE2007. Is it that they just don't know what the hell they're doing? Or is it that they're screwing up an aspect of the game year after year just so they claim improvements on the following edition JUST so they can sell an extra hundred-thousand copies? I think that since they're obvoiusly seeing a massive increase in sales all over the globe that this whole series has turned into a FIFA-esque marketing ploy... all kinds of company generated hype without the delivery of said hype.

man WEPES2007 itsl like the best ive played since we7i. i like the player reaction; much smarter, the flow of the game is perfect, and i love all the new tricks and skill and moves definetly enjoy watching the goalkeeper make those saves we know about.

i dont really care about special hairstyles and all that most of them are old like the beckham styles and the fat Ronaldo one, Some are classic i do like them like the el pibe valderrama one.

what totally annoysme is all of that crap of the animal faces and costumes that i will never unlock from the pes shop, i think its just a waste of precios space that could be useful for improvin the grass texture.

Player reaction is smarter? Yeah right. I can't count how many times the CPU players on my team just stand there and watch the ball go by, or back off the guy with the ball. And since Konami decided switching between players is beyond difficult, I can't do anything about it. The AI in this game is extremely terrible.

And wtf is up with the slowass passes and headballs? It's like im watching a football match in slow motion. Konami pulled an "EA sports" on this one. Instead of progressing, they've retracted.

what's the deal with japan national team in we2007??the squad is different than the one in pes6.also,konami is trying to make this game different to pes6 for some reason,e.g. we can't use pes6 option file on this game(the file may load,but only resulted in faulty players appearance).

Each time I've tried playing this game online, the lag has been so horrific that it's unplayable. It isn't my "connection" either because I've attempted in multiple places, and my friends also have the same issue. It's no fun to play PES when there's delay from when you press the button to the actual function of pressing that button.

HAHAHAH... If watching Brazil and Brazil try and fuck each other over with crappy goals and cheap play makes the game good then the game is AWESOME.

And from what I saw online, there were only about 5 different people who could consistently keep a 3 bar connection. I have cable internet and could only keep 2 bars while keeping flawless connections on other games... like Socom, Madden, and NHL. The online mode is fucking pointless.

Let me explain myself real quick before I bid this hell hole adieu. FIFA is crap. We all know it. And that's what you expect when you play that game. When something stupid happens, you don't get aggrivated because you know that something silly is BOUND to happen with FIFA. You just giggle it off and keep on playing. BUT, with WE, the case is the exact opposite. The game is revered for being the greatest football game EvAr. SO, when the AI got worse, and the gameplay became more sluggish(WE8 -> WE9 -> WEES), I, along with many others I presume, expected things to NOT continue in this pattern. When the newest version came out, we were expecting something great. BUT, what we got was a PIECE... A game that was FAR more frustrating than the previous itteration, and a game that was FAR from fun to play in any of it's game modes. Oh sure, it's awesome if you're not trying to play a realistic style of football where you only employ short passes and juvenile tactics. The shitty AI coupled with the utter slowness of ALL the players just BREAKS this game. Back in the day, they were making this game for the purists.. NOW, they're making this game for the people who are ignorant to the majority of the game of football of which there are ALOT more of... LOOK AT ALL OF THE NEW FIFA to PES CONVERTS.

well i like this version better its easier to control the player and they respond quicker to whatever you press in your controller, in we9 they were to stiff

Murc hit it spot on. This game plays NOTHING like real football. My friends and I play each other, and they use crappy arcade-ish tactics you'd expect to only work in FIFA, but not PES. Well, to my shock, the BS works in this game. I try to play a realistic style while my friends who know NOTHING about football just hold down turbo, button mash the X for passes, and eventually just make a pass in the penalty area hoping for a shitty "one timer" goal. It's successful, and it's stupid.

I bought the game, therefore I have a right to make an opinion on it. If people didn't point out the flaws of video games, problems would never get fixed. And the fact is, as much as I hate this game, I play it more than any other. Why? Because I love football. It's the same with NHL. I despise EA sports, but I still play NHL because I'm also a hockey nut.

For the record, why do people reply with the remark "go play the sport yourself if you want realism", or something to that extent. That's just the most retarded thing you can post. People play sports video games BECAUSE they emulate real life. DUH!
