^And it's better. Is it me or maybe the video but the framerate looks terrible. Not slowdowns though but it looks like that there's some cutting of frames and the game is not fliud enough.

i think it looks good, finally they have a ref on the pitch. the players look to be moving fluently, which is a good because in fifa 08 even though its a good game the players felt too stiff to control properly. things are looking good for fifa 09 but i think pes2009 is gonna impress this year, it has to.

nope fifa 08 didnt have any referees or linesmen on the pitch the only time the ref was seen was in the little cutscenes before and during the match. the ref was nowhere to be seen in actual play

I swear in the options you could turn on/off having a referee and linesman.
But when you first start, yes there is no referee you have to go options and turn it on.

I've been a PES (actually Winning Eleven where I live) fan since WE8 (I think PES4) and haven't even touched a FIFA game since 03, but after last year's dissappointment, I was looking forward for FIFA.

After looking at the gameplay however, I think it is a little too fast and I still think that the players look better in PES. I will just need to see more of PES to compare but I think this year I will have to rent both games before I decide which one to buy. The problem is PES doesn't arrive here until next year and if FIFA plays as well as Euro 2008, then I'll probably spend my moeny on it.

I'm sure the FIFA fan boys will say similar things about PES but this looks just like last years FIFA (i.e. not a patch on Pro Evo)
