There is some wackiness that is occurring from time to time with my game (playing on PS3, default OF). Players randomly lose their stats when they really shouldn't, and/or the game displays a dramatically lower Overall Rating than the actual stats reflect.
Example of the first (it's happened to other players in the past, too, but these are the fastest I've seen):
I've been watching a pair of young defenders, one 20 (Ponce), the other 21 (Bodnar), and when I added them to my Scout List in October, they had ORs of 81 and 76, respectively. The day after the January window closed (during which I had been bidding for them and continually turned down by their clubs), they both lost stats across the board and dropped an OR point, and three months on, they're down to 78 and 73. Ponce had Speed and Acc that had improved to 88 in January; both fell to 84 Feb 1st, and are now at 81! It's not like they're players who are riding the bench, either. They've each played 13 games since the window closed.
Regarding the second issue:
When the first report came in on Sturridge, his OR of 72 fell to 52, though his actual stats didn't change, and when I bought Gakpe, same deal. His OR dropped from 74 to 54. Both ORs show up correctly (and update accordingly with stat improvement) in lineup selection, but everywhere else, they're still 20 points off.
The latter practically has to be a technical issue, but the former? Could it be an actual and (what would be yet another unsurprisingly) inexplicable component of the game mechanic, or is it a mere glitch as well?
