ok, nice things in fifa.

1.The best graphics for a football game ever.
2.visible ref
3.slick presentaion
4.great cut scenes (like when u comit a foul)
5.good player faces
6.way better commentary
7.more teams
8.good music (it don't matter if u don't like the music, anythings better than the pes3 music)
9.mud on kits

Compared to PES3/WE7:

1.) I've always preferred the graphics in the PES games actually, more organic, so to speak.
2.) Yep.
3.) Apart from the Sky Sports-esque presentation feel that FIFA has, I'm not really bothered.
4.) Bah, cut-scenes, you get them in PES3 too. All I care about is which colour the card the ref pulls out of his front pocket is going to be. A little confrontation between the players would be nice though. Does FIFA 2004 do that?
5.) PES3 has some very good player faces too, and it's fair share of horrendous ones, just like FIFA.
6.) Agreed, although this is something Konami can easily work on.
7.) Definitely. A huge database of teams is what I hope Konami strive for in future versions.
8.) When I patch a game, I can add whatever music I want (music which I like).
9.) Nice touch, but hardly "beautiful".

if ya want looks get fifa.
when their is going to be a booking it shows a cut-scene like the one above of the players pushing each other and arguing, but their are loads of diffrent ones.

i have both so i am happy.

btw the heads are to big in FIFA compared to real life that´s why the players look like Alf. But I like Alf.

if u look at keane's head above that looks fine, the kits may look better on pes3 with patches but the graphics are not (in my opinion)

Sorry, didn´t recognize that Zyg wanted you to post some screens (actually I never read Zyg´s posts )
When I said "heads are to big" I was talking about the 2 screens where you can see Del Piero (I think it´s Del Piero) and about the screen below with Henry on it. There is no human being on earth with such a big head
It´s strange that on the screen where you can see Keown from behind the heads have the correct size.

but its much better than the massive shoulders off fifa 2003, that was just embarasing to look at

one bad thing, i haven't seen any weather effects on fifa 2004. i.e rain etc. thats just stupid

Nope. Only the well-known players look accurate and those that are wrong can't be edited.

Yes but some fifa fans still say it ain't that good. Do you actually sit and listen to the commentary in both games?

Those pictures aren't going to impress me so you'll have to find some better ones. I was expecting something very "beautiful".
The fifa menus don't look great and are quite bad at fulfilling their actual purpose which is to help you navigate the game. PES3 menus do this much better and you know where everything is, such as the Edit mode and the Controller configuration settings

So which music does fifa play for goal replays and during matches? Cos that is what counts most. If you want to compare music during the menus, you might be interested in devices called stereos. Plus you can put in any songs you want into PES.

Larsson, you almost sound mad that there are other football games. Don't you think if FIFA stepped it up, it may actually cause konami to make their games even better? I don't know about most of the people in this forum. I love football... I only 'like' football video games, b/c I love football. So I don't care if Activision is making a football game, so long as they are.

More games = More competition = Better product

My favorite video game ever is Ice Hockey for the 8-bit NES. Anyone who has played it would know... it wasn't b/c of graphics/realistic puck physics/lifelike player models. It was just fun.

Maybe we all need to step back and realize how spoiled we are, and how far sports games have come in the last ten years. Football is played on the park, not on a carpet. Get out more.

Erm Zyg i sense a bit of aggression in your posts, i am not saying fifa is better than pes3 (we have already had that discussion) and i have said pes3 is better.

We are now talking about the looks of both games, and obviously if you take pes3(not patched, and no option file) and fifa 2004 (not patched, and no saved games)
which would look better?

That pic above of Del Peiro shows how good it looks, which is why i play it.
When i want a good football match against good cpu teams pes3 is the first thing in my ps2.
You should see the amount of times i shout at fifa, u would think i was mental.when i played both fifa 2003 and pes2 i broke 2 of my contollers because of them annoying me(mainly fifa)

And agree with the above post, because i am a football fan so i like to play football games so i don't care if its club football,fifa,pes3 or even TIF. The point is their all good in their own rights which is why i own and have played them all.

i don't see what is wrong with that del perio pic, his head isn't too big at all, he looks fine.
i am sure when ea sports made fifa they used real human beings to model their players don't ya think?

Seem you've been brainwashed with all their past advertising if you buy a game without knowing how good or bad it is. Their ads came out while before the game so it's not easy to understand how someone could miss them.

There is one thing wrong with it - it looks more like a martian than del piero. There are PES players who can kick a ball and make it look better. They may or may not have used human beings but you can't say they did for sure based on your supplied pics.

EA must be laughing all the way to the bank to know that someone over 14 loves their game so much....

I don't listen to their advertising the game speeks for itself.

I know my computer games and i know that although it will not beat pes3 it will be a good game every year.

and ea will have used real humans for their player models, they use del peiro him self and stick all those things to him so his movement is recorded on the game.

and what about hitman?he made a review of fifa saying how good it was and that the only things bad with it is there is no edit mode, i don't see you all having a go at him, i wonder why

You've been asked to show the beauty of the game. You show a pic of del piero kicking the ball but the face doesn't look like him. Now you're going on about animations - if you must do that, show us a video with how good the animation is.

Everyone has his point of view, my opinion is that FIFA is a piece of shit so I don´t see any reasons to say "it´s great, I like it". But when I see the game objectively, and not compared to PES, I must say it´s a nice game, so I understand Giggsy´s point of view.

and if you took a brand new pes3 and fifa 2004, both with no patches or saved games or anything u can't argue that fifa would look better, with patches pes3 would look better as it has better animations etc.
