Lots of anticipated games this year have been a big disappointment, for example: Kane and Lynch, WWE smackdown, Need for speed pro street and even assassin's creed is given 50-50 reviews. Good games like call of duty, heavenly sword and uncharted which are good games are allegedly too short. Metal gear solid has seen a delay after another. Well i expect when i pay 50 squids on a game for it to be perfect. What a rip off.

Blame the marketing divisions.

All they have in mind, is using the same or similar engines, and making expansions and sequels.

EA is a good example.

They use the same engine for all their Generals' related games. BFME, Generals and the new Tiberium Wars, all use the same engine, even though EA are one of the wealthiest companies out there.

It's a good engine, but c'mon.

assassins creed does get a bit repetitive , but other than that its a awesome game the animations are very fluid , if anyone says its boring thats becuase you are supposed to be a assassins who looks at his enviroment and works out how he kills his target

the problem isn't with assassin's creed. It's the whole industry. Assassin's creed might be the only game that delivered as far as i'm concerned.

even though i dont own Halo 3 i borrowed it off my friend at like nearly everyone was like OMG!!! this game is sooo good , but when i played it was very disappointing nothing new to the game only slightly better graphics than Halo 2 and no new gameplay

i thought it was maybe due to the fact that i'm getting older. I'm 22 now. But that's not it, i remember when company of heroes was released i played that non-stop.

it's 83 actually, and for a game that is arguably going to be a ground breaking hit on the next gen platforms i would expect more to be honest. Like for example you know you can't go wrong for buying MGS or God of war. But as i said i'm not that disappointed with assassin's creed, i'm talking generally.

If you were playing games like Monkey Island, Doom II, and Half-Life when they came out you'd be even more disappointed. You don't get any classics anymore.
