I'll start by saying that I will always buy PES and never FIFA, as I think deep down PES is a better game but every year I'm left disappointed by Konami.
Good features from previous games disappear in new versions, like stadium builder and being able to control players who are receiving the ball and I'm left thinking why? I will add I like how the defenders now don't stand on the edge of the box at goal kicks. And don't get me started on the stadiums, 19...19! At least give us some generic ones like we got back in the day. Not every stadium has to be massive, I want some small ones too.
Anyway the gist of my complaint is that konami seem to give us half a game every year and we take it as the rule. I mean some people rave about the edit mode; being able to change kits, faces and transfers but isn't this just Konami being lazy? The kits are down to licenses I know but most of the players look the same, with duplicate faces for most and some are not even the right ethnicity! Transfers seem pretty straight forward and a quick fix but Konami can't be bothered to do it before they ship the game, I mean how long would it take...a few hours surely! Instead we have to wait for Konami to release DLC to update before we can start actually playing the game in master league.
Are we mugs for letting Konmai get away with this every year? I think we are. We're doing their job for them. They are giving us an unfinished game and saying 'here, you finish it off because we can't be bothered.'
