Hugely frustrated, because the problems with the game are largely the cause of sloppy developers and not technical limitations.

*Buying the UEFA license and not using it properly.

If you can't negotiate the Premier League teams who feature in UEFA competitions, why have the license at all?

*Master League.

Way too easy on Regular, too much of a learning curve difference on Professional. This didn't used to be the case. The Scout is pathetic at making transfers and the joy of signing players like in previous years has one.

*Become A Legend.

Removed the custom league option, so Unedited United are playing Manchester United in the 'English League'. Great realism. At least with the editing you can have licensed teams in all leagues and mix them up for some variety. BAL plays differently, too. The AI loses its head and plays like 10 idiots, whilst the opposition sometimes feels like The Top 4 versus the bottom three of the Championship.

I've barely played PES10. Granted, it launched at the same time as Forza 3, but in previous years PES would get under my skin and even car games were secondary, but it's no longer the case. Unless I hear of huge improvements in PES11, I believe it'll be the year I just stop buying it.

Yes! But it doesn't matter because PES10 is back in its case on the shelf and will never escape. :)

I think this is a poor version of the game, i loved the early editions, back to the days off iss. The gameplay has got worse (as mentioned before gks, slow responce, ml etc). And especially as we are now on superior consoles, deffo a step in the wrong direction! And the game is still rather easy on top level. I was hoping for good things for pes10 after 08/09, not just a rehash.
Oh well, fingers crossed for next year!

use file in the link below ,back to pes5 style pes

I would recommend anyone who is frustrated with the game play in recent pes games tries goalgerd and my file.

As well as having some really good teams added and excellent strips, I have re-written the entire game play of game by editing ever player in the game to make it more realistic, more balance, more difficult and to have more fluid game play

What gets on my nerves is that Konami have felt the need to change things that did not need changing in some instances. I mean, since Pes6 they have steadily started messing with elements of the game that needed no improvement whatsoever and it has hugely unbalanced the game.

Couldn’t have said it better myself.

The big mistake Konami made was making PES an anual release to compete directly with FIFA. I dont care what anyone says, but pes 2010 and 2009 are just not finished. They are rushed in development - there is an obvious spelling mistake in the finances screen for f*ck sake. Negotiaons anyone? Either Konami need to give the developers time to build the games properly, or replace seabass with someone who is willing and capable of a yearly development cycle. This series is going down. Shame. Other developers (Ubish*te) have already smelled blood. They'd never have come into the market when pes4 was around. Be warned Konami - you are on the thinest of ice now - if 2011 (in terms of gameplay and overall lack of attention to detail) is as mediocre as 2010, you may never get the fans back.

They have always competed with EA \ FIFA it is just that FIFA until now never put up much of a fight. Konami have been taking sidesteps for so long now that it actually seems like they are going backwards, adding and removing features until the games is no longer recognisable. IMO 2010 is the worst to date, it looks the best, but the game itself is shocking. dumbed down and railed, the litmus for me is that having had an accident with my FIFA10 disc I went back to PES (only played online) but found it clunky and to say the least broken, where as in the past you could pick it up and get right back in to the flow. SEABASS and his team are clearly very skilled, I feel that they are spread too thin and lack real direction, to add to this bound by the traditions of their native country.

The fix

Get a european project manager to lead the team and decide what should be included in the game (poach Dave Rutter if you can) whilst you are at it change your PR team and that fool in the shades!!!

Add all the features that you removed from previous versions IE manual controls

Stop taking the absolute piss and having two games WE and PES and making one better than the other it is a straight two fingers to the european market IMO

Tweak and improve, stop starting from scratch, it is getting the game nowhere fast!

Pray!

Having calmd down a little and having sold my copy of PES2010 I thought I would give it one more session to say farwell, I didn't bother with the online features and played the master league that had I had played half way through before abandoning. I must say (and it already has been) that it is a different game offline, far from brilliant but not nearly as bad as when playing online. Thought I had better put the record straight after my vent!
