ARROWS forwards & back

Does placing both front & back arrows on your midfielders prevent gaps in the midfield? What's the real effect of forwards & back arrows on a player relative to all of the other players if they all have them as well? Does having no arrows work better or worse at preventing midfield gaps?

Any observations are most appreciated.

Um...is anyone out there?
Yeah . Basically It's where you want the selected player to cover mostly in the game so say C. Ronaldo for example you wouldn't really have him with a back arrow because he rarely does defend and say if you put arrows goin across the pitch with center mids they will mostly cover that area and win the ball.

You are correct Mike. :)

But I think what he was after was what happens when you put contradicting arrows on players. For example putting both an arrow forwards and an arrow backwards. Which criteria is included when the game decides which of these arrows to obey so to speak. If a defenceman with these arrows is aproached by an opposing attacker, will he advance or will he drop back? if he has a right and left arrow, will be go left or right? Will he only go left or right if his position is well-covered and no risk of leaving gaps, or will he ignore any gaps he might be causing and move sideways anyways? Stuff like that I take it. :)
