(Arsenal) Who is your defensive midfielder?

Since Song left, Im finding it difficult to put a correct defensive midfielder. Ive tried both Diaby and Djourou (he is NOT a central defender) but they dont seem to cope well. Im thinking of playing with a defense of 4 but Vermaelen as sweeper do "emulate" this function.

Who do you put as defensive midfielder and with what formation?

Arteta. Isn't the best defensively, but a good deep lying playmaker. Not a fan of diaby in PES13. Dribbling feels too slow + loose. Wilshere or Ramsey ahead of him in cmf along side Arteta

I play Arteta in that position.
Last couple of games i played with him as a CMF in formation with 2 CMF and AMF but this is not easy to set up Arsenal correct since Pes 12

Personally Spain won the Euro because the other teams are pussys; Pressure the hell out of their defense so they cant advance the ball, they kick long balls, and tell me which midgit can win a header. Its that simple. Of course, easier said that done.

Nonetheless, you have to have at least one DM. Period.

I'd say Arsenal's defensive midfielder is Arteta with Wilshere providing cover. Diaby maybe if he was fit.

If I was Arsenal in PES, my team would be like this (obviously it would be different in real life as some players are under/over-rated in the game).

Well, there is no doubt by now that Arteta is Arsenals DMF...

i think main problems with Arsenal in Pes are:

1. There is no real strong DMF like Gilberto was. Arteta is good passer and technicly gifted enough, but he is week in aerial battle. Diaby is ok but not quick and passing still not good.

2. Some week points in general means that we have to play real butty football with them ro overplay teams like Barca, Milan etc. and here problems with defence and formation are coming.

3. after TH14 left, there is no real killer upfront and all big teams have some

conclusion:
I play with Arsenal since Pes5 and once they change the formation from 442 i lost something ( maybe Henry) )
I am experimenting all the time but still far from finish product. style of play is soo important to me as the results are soo iam trying to find solution between realistic and efective plaing, but still looking for...

Maya, in PES you don't need a DMF. Use 3 CMF or play 4-4-2 if you like.
