At least Two New Tips per User...

Thought I'd start a new thread containing outright tips, just for a laugh.
If you post, give at least TWO new and clearly explained contributions, nice one!!

Okay here are mine - (obviously some of these most or all will know)

1. Ronaldo and Ronaldinho Flip Flap - R2 X 3 (fast)
2. Scoring headers close range - Use X instead of Square, with direction within 10 yards of goal, the ball is so mush more under control than what pressing square produces. It actually looks really cool and you can place the ball in bottom corners etc. Not in any manuals...weird!

X is the way

Good tips guys, x is often the only way of winning the headers, works well in your own box

1. dont be afraid to make difficult looking passes (when you want to pass to a player diagonally behind you or something) you'll be surprised at the amount of nice looking little passes that are in the game. of course im talking one-touch passes here.

2. face diagonally towards goal when shooting long range, the player will really be able to wrap his foot around the ball this way.

i hope someone tells us how to do that amazing ronaldinho trick from the we9 trailer.

1. Always run infront of a attacker then come inside without trying to turn and tackle straight away.

2. When crossing from the wings always double tap circle a much better cross with more pass and its more direct.

Good thread by the way. Makes sense.

So far so good....tried the 'double tap circle' for crosses, much better. We are learning new things already....!!

1. For free kicks between 17 and 24 yards (approx) tap circle. Use very very little power and ball will chip the wall and sail in. Very handy unless your shit hot with square.

2. Use your keeper more...bring him out for corners and crosses, hands will always go higher than heads. It's surprising how many crosses can be cut out by sending him out for a catch or punch.

What if some of us use XBOX?

If you want to score half way line lobs look to see if the keepers off his line...It will be much easier

Only people with reallly good techniche can do the Flip flap/Step overs etc

1. Always bring your keeper out as a last man

2. Always use through balls when you have your strikers by the defenders, you skin them nearly everytime.

With you on these ones! good tips.....skinning works well especially with fast players.

1. Keep that shot on the ground if your not feeling confident one on one. Harder for keepers to save.

2. Using midfield and strikers pass using L1, as we all know the player that passes will make a run forward giving you more options. Watch for the offside though. (not really a ground breaking tip).

Didn't really consider for Xbox users sorry....circle if cross, x is pass, square is shoot and triangle is through pass. If an Xbox user could post the equivalent button attributes, that would be handy! Can reference both then you see, ain't I a clever cloggs!

First time passing can be great for counter attacks.

If your running with R1 down the wing and your shoulder to shoulder with the defender, tap R2 and press the d-pad/analog slightly in-field. Your player will knock if further than usual. Hard to get used to but very very effective if done right.

Very good tip....it can also be used to kind of nutmeg the opponent (ball is knocked ahead and you run around the others side of player).
Try hitting a shot when you catch up with the ball, it's really rather powerful!

two more tips...

1. if you double/triple tap the analogue stick in the direction your running with r1 the player runs much faster, but the ball goes pretty far ahead so use it when you have alot of space.

2. if your being out run by a defender hold r2 to stop the ball dead, the defender will have carried on running a short distance giving you time to pick out a pass or try to get past him one more time.

when using R2 to stop the ball dead make sure you don't have R1 pressed. Tapping R2 will stop the ball. When facing away from the opponents goal the player will jump over the ball and face towards. Useful to get that quick shot in if your facing away. Also quite nice when you see a sliding tackle coming in, either the opponent will slide on by cause you stopped or your player will jump the tackle.

1. use the steppovers and use it as a combo with the flip flap. Press L1 twice then right before he finnish the steppovers press L1 or R2 once then he do the flip-flap...

2. While playing against mates this move is very effective.. run down the wing when your friend's player gets close to you stop the ball with R1 then start running again.. works very well

3. If you stand still then a opponent is running against you, push the right analouge stick up and down then the ball will go over his head.
