well I've been playing computer games since my uncles got a commodore pet and pong in the mid 70s, can't see myself stopping anytime soon...I play PES3 virtually every day, and have completed over 30 seasons on ML and still enjoy it.....looking forward to PES4 PC and half-life 2

I think the makers may call it a day before I do. If they get as far as PES10 then I'll still be getting it asap but I'm not so sure they won't just quit while they're ahead at some point.

I think gaming will die out, once they make photo-realistic graphics what else will there be to do? Everything will be done, I'm not sure I even would shoot a granny in the head in GTA if the graphics were photo-realistic so they'll just have to stop.
The only games that will be truly timeless are football games :) And when they perfect PES there'll be a yearly updates for that seasons kits and that's it surely

So I reckon in about..30 years

There will be a new target by then no doubt. Improvement will never stop as technology will always progress bringing new challenges.

Goddamnit I want to beat my kidz in PES whadya talkin about matey.
And then, it will be the only occassion (when I'll let the little bastard score) that I would ever actually LET someone win.
BTW glad to know there are old fellas like me-self round here that refuse to stop playing.
In our gang, PES has become poker substitute - we all put money down the table and in the end of the tournament the winner buys drinks at the pub.
The answer, btw, is not ever.

30 and still loving every second of it! It's not just Pro Evo either, I love playing videogames full stop. People of my generation were born with Atari joysticks in there hands. I have to try and balance it out with being a dad and having another little one on the way, but I won't stop until I don't enjoy it anymore. Which will be never!

Here's a little anecdote (good spelling!) regarding my love of videogames:

I was playing GTA: San Andreas last night and my girlfriend was milling about tidying or knitting or something girlish (that was a joke) and I was popping caps in peoples arses left, right and centre. At about 24:00 my bird said to me "You'd better get to bed as you have to get up for work tomorrow" to which I replied by nodding slightly in her direction whilst keeping eyes firmly fixed on the screen (the videogame language code I believe).

She then kept on pestering me about not being to get up of a morning etc until she finally gave up. A couple of hours later, as I sat playing, she got up to go to the toilet and as she walked past me she said, and I quote

"Yo betta get in dat bed muthafucka or else I'm gonna pop a cap in yo' ass, biatch!!"

This, of course, got my attention as:

1. She was clever enough to try and contact me using the language used in the game and
2. She is fully Swedish and even though she speaks cracking English (as most Swedes do) the use of ghetto slang and a Compton dialect got my attention like a shot.

I then went to bed.

Remember, There will be new "better" consoles like PS3 or PS4, and XBOX2 and 3 which means more work for Konami and better games for us..

32 and still going strong. Enthusiasm often wanes a little during the summer months but a PES or GTA release always kicks me back into action. I grew up with video games, now they're starting to get good, why would I want to give up.
