Attacking headers...?

Is it just me, or is bloody impossible to win them? I keep getting into wide positions and then just remembering as I send in a cross 'oh yeah, you can't score from headers'. It cuts both ways, I mean I always seem to easily win the defensive header, and can never win an attacking one??

The headers in general seem a bit shit so far tbh, they just tap it down really short as if the ball was really heavy or something.

Anyone else think this, or is there just somekind of nack that I haven't got yet? Alot of my goals came from corners last year, and so far on this years I haven't scored one.

I really haven't experienced this at all. I've scored quite a few so far, with people you'd expect like Crouch, and also those you wouldn't like Danny Murphy. Maybe try different types of crosses?

opposite for me, seem to score far too many headers, especially diving headers, not nearly enough volleys though.

Crossing from a bit deep, rather than right by the box can be effective, the defenders are a bit more out of position and your strikers are running onto the ball

if you press 'R2' it allows you to move the player receiveing the cross whilst the ball is in the air. it takes a bit of practise but if you move the player infront of the defender as the ball is coming in you can usually slot it home.

I experienced the same as stuboy.. Many of my goals on PES 2010 have been diving headers so far..

I seem to be getting a few headers. Super cancel works like a charm with headers this year as well as changing your player just before the ball gets near them and doing a "suprise header".

I think its all about timing, and the quality of the crosser. The old super cancel does work well this year. But you need a decent crosser of the ball, had gerrard slice the ball horribly on his left foot there earlier, was annoying at the time, but good in terms of realism!

I echo Stuboy and jasperinho. I seem to score many headers. In the beginning when it was too difficult passing the ball around and dribbling, i sent in crosses from the sides all the time. I've discovered that if you press L1 + O he aims for the far post. Quite effective for me at least. Try variation of your crosses from the wingers - sometimes L1 O, sometimes double tap O etc..

just seemed weird seems as tho i've always scored bags of goals from headers on pes 09 and all the previous ones, and just can't seem to master it this year.
