KONAMI details first PES 2013 DLC

Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH has revealed the content of the first free update and DLC elements for its stunning PES 2013 title.

As with previous iterations of the series, KONAMI is committed to constantly adding to PES 2013, and KONAMI will release the first DLC pack to coincide with the game’s release for PlayStation®3, Xbox 360® and Windows PC. This first DLC adds the three licensed stadia of the newly-promoted Spanish clubs, and updates the latest kits for 37 licensed clubs, including Marseille, AJAX, FC Porto, Besiktas, and Corinthians. A second DLC pack will follow in mid-October, reflecting all summer moves and adding further stadia, UEFA elements, team updates, and online element updates. Detailed information will be released shortly.

The first update will be available in October and ramps up the online side of the game. It adds a Widget system that acts as a shortcut to gathering friends together for online matches and introduces a Ranking system. PES 2013 allows up to eight people to play in a match simultaneously, and the new download adds Community modes, wherein friends can be automatically selected from a pre-determined list, and allows Communities to track and monitor their results.

The free update unlocks the Incentives element of the myPES Facebook app, wherein achievements are rewarded and can be shown via the Social Networking service. Users can also now concede a match at half-time, while Master League Online fans will be paired against similarly-rated peers in a new Rival Ranking system.

Did you see that too? :

Online Pass Activation delayed for PS3

The Online Pass authentication will not be available until after our mid October patch for PES2013.

Until the patch becomes available, Konami servers will not require an Online Pass authentication, so they will not be requesting the Online Pass code from our users, who will still be able to access the online content.
After the patch is released, the Online Pass authentication process will be in place, however the activation date will be different depending on your territory:

North America, South America and Asia: starts from October 11
Europe: starts from November 13

Sorry guys..just a question. Should we download the DLC first and install the option files or vice versa? Thanks.

In general, a roster DLC will overwrite the free slots of an Option File, such as the PES league unless you say no to the rosters. This slot is where most OF creators put Bundesliga or NPower. However, most OF creators will fix their OF after a DLC is launched by Konami and repost. So, in other words you could install a created OF before the DLC if you really want kits and everything right away.....and then wait for the OF creator to fix everything and put up his OF again.

You do have an option when a DLC comes out to not allow roster changes but all the boots and other items to be implemented. At least 2011 and 2012 you had this option. So if you say no to rosters you have the opportunity anytime later to click default rosters to actually implement whatever Konami had as their roster update in the DLC.

One item I was always unsure of was whether or not you could do the default roster click team by team. So you could download the DLC, say no to the roster changes, but then go team by team and click default for the teams you wanted to but not click it for your PES league slots and thus maintain your Bundelsiga/Npower or whatever you have there.

I hope I conveyed that clearly, I am not thinking hard enough as I write.
