BAL experience points

Hi all, I got a question. This mate of mine told me you get more match experience points when you play longer matches. Cause you get more of the ball.

I find it hard to believe, on the couterside. When playing 5 min matches. And you didn't had the change too shoot for example, then that stat probably won't go up. Or didn't run shoulder to shoulder for body balance.

Anyone knows? Does it pay off the play longer matches?

It should, but I doubt it.

I feel the longer people play in real life the better they get but I doubt they implement this into the game, maybe someone with a bit more background knowledge could tell us.

Im sure it wont be though.

i can tell you that if you understand football ie: movement the game is easier to play, especially in BAL or tandom play with another human, you can create so much room for yourself and keep possession and score different type goals (hard to explanation that bit but i mean better goals).

You get points based on your rating for the game regardless of how long you play. The higher your rating the more XP you gain, time has no bearing on it.

not forgetting that your rating is directly effected by completed passes, shots on target, and positional responsibility (ie if your RMF and spend 70mins ball chasing in the centre of the park don't be too surprised if your rating isn't too hot). That and bagging a shed load of goals and assists of course ;)

You get match exp points for playing in matches and playing well, strength exp points will stay the same each match.

Time does have something to do with it. You get your rating on how well you do. So if you play on a 10 min match you are able to get more passes, assists, goals, interceptions etc. meaning your rating would go up. But if you only play 5 mins you wont be able to create as much chances, goals, assists etc. meaning you wont get a better rating meaning you wont get more EXP. Or am I wrong?

I'd say its the same...

Like stamina for example, after playing a 10min match, then going into a 5min match it will times the stamina taken off by 2. This is why at the end of the match your players will have the same amount of stamina left as they would in a 10min match.

So basically what I'm trying to say is it adjusts, but its stays the same...

Yeah i agree with the stamina, but the amount of passes you can complete and the amount of shots on target will be more than if you play a 5 min match meaning your rating will get higher.

It must rate you on how you did relative to that time span. It'll judge you based on what is actually feasible in that space of time, so it doesn't expect you to make the same number of passes as you would in a 10 min game.

Atleast that's what I think...

I agree with that. But say if you played a match on 5 mins and came on in the last 15 mins and got a rank 5.0 your exp wouldn't go up much. But if you came on the last 15 mins on a 10 min match you are able to do much more because you have more time to get a higher rank. So time can effect the exp.

Suppose you've got a point there, I suppose it would rate you on what is feasible in that time you get on, but as you say the chances of you getting a decent rating would be very slim. Best thing to do is either play 10 min matches (like I do) or play good enough so you're not on the bench.

Are you 100% sure about that? Ive played several games where I got a 7 and no match EXP - on the other hand Ive played several games where I got a 6 and some match EXP.

As far as I can tell yes its correct. The physical length of the game itself makes no difference, BUT the length of time YOU are on the park for of the 90 mins does. So if your brought on as a sub, you wont get as much XP as if you played the full 90. That I think is where the confusion is. I should have clarrified my point more.
