Barcelona and Real Madrid

It really does annoy me that every 10 games i play 9 of them are against barca or real. get the ball to messi or ronaldo run down the wing and square it for a tap in. these people have no intention of playing a fair game they just want to score as many easy goals as possible to get the ratings up asap.

I know what you mean literally everyone who plays online knows what you mean. From my experience owning both the European and American version this problem is more apparent in the American version. I was able to get some decent Italian and French matches last year now with the American version I just play against the two same teams. My only advice to you join a community where everyone plays as smaller clubs....

Yep, normally after 4 or 5 games I get fed up and if someone is Barca I'll be Real or vice versa just to give them a taste of their own medicine.

I also played someone who was Barca today and played 5 at the back and 2 defensive midfielders and just frustrated the life out of him for a 0-0 draw!

I normally just try and play against a couple of my mates online whenever I can as we'll play random games with teams of similar ability (Rangers v Celtic, etc).

it seems as if the u.s. players have a much more limited view of world football so only know to pick those two teams. very frustrating.

it is not the US players. It is both the North and South American players.
There are only a handful of people on the American servers who play with different teams.

Well to be honest I saw this coming so I'm not surprised. What person in the Americas is going to choose a Ligue 1 side? Who's going to play as a Turkish club? While I got these matches in 2011 that was because I was playing people (presumably) from those countries. The big teams from Europe are the only ones really with any sort of fan base in the Americas so for those out there dont ever expect to play a Bolton or an Athletic Bilbao it just isnt going to happen...

I go to a few latin american grocery stores in the area (only stores that sell coca cola with sugar instead of corn syrup). These stores are like social clubs where they watch games on the big screen and eat great grilled food. They always have mexico & argentina national jerseys for sale but the only club jerseys I see are Real and Barca. Even more the patrons are always watching Barca on the big screen because of Messi. The local football field just minutes from my house is filled with Unicef Barca jerseys.So if NA and SA PES player are real fans of these teams its hard to expect anything else but disproportionate Barca, Real.

But we all know there is something different between fans wanting to play as their heros and the annoying players that just pick out the great teams.

Guys, this does not ruin the football. I've had players with whom we've always agreed on what kind of teams we should choose. If we go avg, or play barca/real madrid/ac milan. And it really isn't as annoying. If both players are good, you sure can pull a spectacular game. Sometimes it gets even better than playing average teams. The pace of the game is just better, speedy counters, nice shots. Let's face it. Of course it sucks when you are only facing those two teams but what do you expect? I won't choose an avg team against Barca or Real, it's just not worth it.

IMHO there should be competitions based on teams' rating level. For instance there should be competitions only for avg teams with 1 A, or 2 A's only, etc. That would be very interesting, players would choose lots of different teams.

It's not annoying when both are good players and know how to play, you know what I mean. It is annoying when you only face the two teams over and over, and you only play against limited-minded players that can only run towards the cross with Ronaldo and score limitless headers with Benzema.

the cross to header is a big problem with Barca - that ball is on a string. I can't believe the miraculous feats I have witnessed online against me.

Being from the Americas is a poor excuse for picking Barca/Madrid every game. In my opinion, it's just boring picking the same team all the time, and I don't understand the mentality of someone who would do that, and would refuse to change just for ONE game!

this....i never pick either Real or Barca...i will play with random teams, and makes it better if I win, ranked games Im unbeaten, and Ive used Bayer Leverkusen and Spurs...mind you ive only played 3 games:lol:

I personaly think the premier league is more popular here. always when i talk with ppl about soccer here its about man united or arsenal. but everybody playing as real or barca is very annoying.

Well then challenge accepted.

I just had some guy last night write "your going down chump" he's Madrid and I'm Montpellier of all teams. I wonder if these people pick fights with small children and challenge the elderly to races in the real world. I mean a little humility never hurt.

But I remember someone saying in a thread last year that playing online is serious business for some people. They want to win thats all and could care less about branching out to other teams.

I got tired of playing vs Barca and Real using Juve or a lesser, slower team. .. No matter how good you are you will get beat from time to time with lucky super human crap. You mean to tell me that Messi will out jump Chellini to win a 50/50 ball in the air??? Also a big FU to Konami, last year Alexi Sanches was a 72 overall on Udinese, this year on Barca he's an 85! WHY!!?!?!?!??!?!!

My solution, F all those online Barca ball lickers, I pick Argentina, I get Messi too + Lavezzi, Aguero and Tevez and my midfield is a monster with Pastore, Mascherano and DiMaria..... Every time I see the other guy pick Barca or Rreal I pick Argentina and pound them relentlesly with counter attacks with my speedy attackers all spread out in a 4/3/3 formation ! BUYAH!!!

They should put an option for online play, categorize the teams... EXAMPLE>>> Barca, Real, Milan, Man U are 5 stars, then you have the 4 star teams, Man City, Juve, Liverpool, Bayern, then the 3 star Porto, Tottenham, Roma etc etc etc....
In your online settings you could pick the # of stars so if you pick 3 stars you will only be able to pick from maximum that category and be paired up against similar category opponents so the Barca bums could just play Barca vs Barca all day in the 5 star category. This shouldnt be that hard to implement Im sure!
