Base copy problem with hair

Perhaps I am doing this wrong but base copying is not working for me.


Let's use creating Shakthar squad as an example.

I can pick a player on the team I am using to create shakthar and base copy over a konami "fake from the ukraine squad and edit their hair and name to be correct.

If I dare touch their face everything face related resets. Fair enough.

But say I want to use a hairstyle.

Trying to create Taison or Nem and want to use Witsels off Zenits hair.

So, I base copy Witsel, and have his face and hair. But now I want to edit the face. Once I say yes to 'face will be reset' I lose the hair.

How can I keep the hair but edit the face?

I dont think you can. You can edit everything except the faces of base copyed players.
