I'm currently on the learning curve of manual shooting. What I'm doing just now is keeping it on basic and just using LT(xbox) to manual shoot with the arrow. Is there a way to turn the arrow off without changing the shot setting?

When I'm playing with friends (not online) I'd like to use LT shooting without the arrow so my mate doesn't know the direction of my shot but then if I'm getting beat I can just use basic without pausing the game and change the shot setting

Have you looked in personal data settings? Pause the game, choose select sides and then press the button indicated at the bottom of the screen to enter settings. Its in options in extras on the main menu aswell.

I can't use manual shooting. If I use manual shooting my player needs MUCH too long until he shoots in online games :(
