Put in Champs mode and uefa cup in BAL and ML.

Able to train and imporve stats

Reserve games

More leagues

Change the damn form thing so you are in good form if you play good on the match not randomly which is crap...
Make the manager SMART not dumb like a monkey putting out Messi , you and Xavi in a final of CL, come on.... thats RIDICILOUS...
Friendly international games , alot of them like real life, real euro and world qualifiers not 4 teams in a group , but same as real life for every continent...
More contracts not only 6 , if you play well you can get alot contracts and the teams offer you how much years , pay , what role you have , number you want etc....
If you choose a number you want and someone else has it DO NOT FUKIN ACCEPT OFFER AND PUT YOU IN A TEAM AND GIVE U A DIFFERENT NUMBER BUT GET THE CONTRACT BACK NEXT WEEK WHERE IT SAYS THE NUMBER IS UNAVAILABLE FOR ME SO CHOOSE ANOTHER .... AND ALL CONTRACTS FOR 1 YEAR FOR THE REST OF THE CAREER IS RIDICILOUS , seriously , make me choose years and if teams accept or doesn't accept is all going on betwen the talks with the team , like real life , make me NEGOTIATE for god sakes not just offer 1 year , so much salary , that number not available randomly give u another ... seriously who made this must be really dumb.

And change the whole interface it SUCKS and loads for 10 seconds to open another window in every single thing you choose.

1. I liked the player development system in Fantasista better. It was based on your performances not what you choose to make better, i.e. no "strengthen" system. I think the optimal system would be a combination of both, your chosen areas to train as well as match performance. It's sad that if you play really well in a match you hardly get anything for attribute boosts, compared to Fantasista, which made you want to work for your stats.

2. Also in previous versions I liked that you could see, at the end of the match, a brief written commentary about the individual players, including yourself. It was nice to see what the game thought of your performance, beyond the rating in numbers. It also helped you correlate your rating to your perfromance to see why you got the rating you did.

3. Ratings just aren't right, and they mean too much in terms of getting awards. Damn if I haven't given up trying to figure out what's wrong with the system, but, again, compared to Fantasista (PS2 version of BAL in Japan), it's F'd.

4. Short Term stamina would add a lot fo realism to BAL, and the game in general. In BAL you can run at top speed forever and never tire/slow-down.

5. More online play. BAL online, where the other players are other real players would be sweet. No more "Legends" mode, unless it gets turned into something more like this.

6. Player growth curve. I think in general that players grow too much. I'd rather see players that start out decent, and slowly get better. How often does a player in real life start out like Bentner and become like Ibrahimovic? Talent often is evident at a younger age, take Michael Owen's shot accuracy when he was 18. Does any player in PES at 18 have a shot acc like that? I don't think so, and the reason is because their shot acc woudl get to be too high as they get older. It's a simplified system, and has it's obvious flaws. Fixing it isn't easy, but until it's fixed BAL won't really be right either.

7. Camera. I played in "Player CAM" in Fantasista and absolutely loved it. The Player Cam was okay in PES 2009, but should be a bit closer. Also, gameplay in PES 2009 was such that it was very difficult to play BAL with that Cam. I'm really hoping for 2010 that I'm able to enjoy it from the first person perspective. It's much more rewarding to play that way, especially when you score a goal.

Make the Ai controlled players better, and more involved!
Whilst playing BAL mode i have often found that i am the one doing the most work, and have been disappointed by the lack of movement by my teammates!

Fantasista is a Japan only game then?

(sorry for english)i was thinking that it could be nice if the players have more abilities for ex. clever(football IQ):how the player "watching" the cort or how much they can predict other player moves(i dont know how we say that in english).
character: some players are really "bad boys and they play very hard and dirty or the reactions they have in the game when they fouled or when ref gives them a bad wisle.
THAT MEANS THAT PLAYERS NEEDS DNA (NBA 2K9 AND NBA LIVE 2009 HAVE THIS WHY NOT PRO 09?)

Hello - Many Of You Have Made Really Good Points About Become A Legend 2010
Yess I Agree Mostly With The Fact That A Player Must Get Better By Actually Training To Get Better. Not Just By Playing Games

As Iv Mentioned Before - Shooting Practice / Target Practice Is A Must To Increase Accuracy And Shot Power And Curve

The Same Applies For Passing - Passing Drills Are Obviously A Key Feature Needed In The Game

Same For Dribbling - In And Out Of Cone Work / A One 2 Then A Shot At Goal/
All Obviously A Must For One Player Become A Legend

Same Applies For Corner Practice / Free Kicks Etc Etc Etc

Music Also Needs To Change. That Song From Pro 09 - Drives Me Insane

Also It Saved All The Time...... After Every Game
And I Thought The Layout In General Was A Little Lame
And Didnt Make Me Feel That Special At All.

Also As Jcb 92 Said I Was Also Left Really Disapointed With My Other Team Mates
Theyre Desire To Score Was Poor
Theyre Passing Was A Little Lackluster
And Theyre Shooting Was Really Bad
So Was Theyre Dribbling

It Was Allot Like.. Just Give Me The Ball Lol

LESS CPU CONTROLLED and less scripting in the game.
The player's form is totally scripted. There's no way of making it better.
This is really annoying, because if your form is bad (violet arrow), the coach won't play you, and your layer wil be slow and unresponsive.
This is realistic, but it scripted. I mean, I did a match and got a 7.5 for a hat trick and an assist. Guess what, in the following game, my form was bad.
This is what really annoys me.
Also, I want to see better AI teamates.

1. More divisions in each league would be nice, Konami don't even have to do any work with the names and faces, the community always fix that anyway.
Just give us the leagues and divisions and we will fix the rest.

2. Managers that change formations to suit the squad, and make your player able to suggest formations to your manager. (maybe not realistic that a manager would listen often but it's a game and we're all smarter than the AI so why not be able to do this in the spirit of having a good time :D)

3. Add a button to make your player urge your team to more effort, possibly only active when you are captain.

4. Better tackling system, where if you hit the ball first, no whistle. (with room for errors from ref. ofcourse)
And less cards....

5. Training regimes instead of inter squad matches, where you can choose yourself wich type of training you focus on, to build your player up.
Let's say you can choose 5 different per training (one week)
Penalties, Free Kicks, Pass and shoot, Crossing, Dribbling etc.
And Strength and Stamina etc. training is automated.
Aditionally, the better your club is, the more experience you should recieve from training.
Example: A week where you train only penalties (5 times) you should recieve 3x the amount of training, 15 points (out of 100 per actual skill point increase) in this scenario.
Your current team rating should add to this, if high.
Bordeaux is rated fairly high in 2009 and would result in an extra multiplier, giving you 4x the amount of training (4x5 (20pts) penalty experience points) and Barcelona / Real Madrid / Man. Utd. gives 2x extra training.
(making it 5x5=25 penalty training points in this scenario.)
To give an extra boost for playing at high profile clubs.
This is just a simple example and could be detailed much more, making the difference between the best and next best clubs smaller but still significant.

6. More realistic contracts and transfers.

7. More "Roleplay" options like expressing your feelings for, or situation in the club to the press and to your manager (happy, unhappy etc.)
Requesting a rest, or subbed.

8. Smarter AI on your team mates, I think the CPU controlled teams are decent, room for improvement but generally fine, it's just annoying that the second you enter the pitch your team lose it's ability to string more than two passes together.

9. Better match rating system

10. Give the option to edit your player to your liking before kicking off the scout match, for example 30 distributable points and additionally taking 2 points off one skill to add 1 on another.

11. Add an Influence skill starting at 50, a static base skill that get higher the older you get and the longer you stay in one club. The "club" points you have achieved for staying at the same place for a long time will be lost when you move to another club but the "age" points stay forever.
Possibly add a small feature called "Personality" to the player creation where Influental (+10 starting influence), Professional (+2 training points per training chosen), Hard Worker (+10 Stamina, -5 Pace), Sniper (+10 shot accuracy, -5 Shot Power), Scorcher (+10 Shot Power, -5 Shot Accuracy), Playmaker (+10 long/Short Pass Accuracy, -5 jumping & heading) etc. just examples, these could be much better i'm just making a suggestion

Very very good points , I agree with all of them ....

your 7th point is also one of my favorite things id like to see in PES ... you could actually talk to manager about needing a rest or beeing subbed , also you can talk to your teammates in set pieces and request that you take them and then it would depend on the situation and also on your skill and how long you been at the club and the game itself... also when you are the default kick taker you could request other teammates to take it instead for all of the set pieces etc...
Get some kind of interviews from time to time where you are asked some questions and you can choose like do you like the new club etc... and if you answer positive you would get more respect and likeness from the club which would result in them more likely to want to keep you as well as your performances.
There is really NO depth at all in BAL , none at all.

I'd like to be able to play with a defender (full back, center half, etc), instead of being limited to attacking players.

Also, it would be great to have smarter managers. I can't tell you how many times I see a central defender (or other equally unsuitable choice) take a crucial PK and miss horribly.

Adding to the earlier suggestions about training drills, I'd love to have small-sided training scrimmages (7v7) or something like that.

Oh, one more thing... on PSP (which I also play, in addition to xbox360), I've joined Barcelona twice (with different players/careers) and each time, when my team really started to get things going, consistently winning 3-0, 4-0, the stupid manager decides to permanently switch formations from the default 4-3-3 to something which is completely ill-suited to my personnel. For example, I go from playing a 4-3-3 with me at CF, Messi and Bojan at the wing spots to some weird 4-4-2 where Messi is out on the left wing, me at CF, and Bojan (whose ratings are off the charts) relegated to the bench. WTF???

^Although the game rarely does it on ps3/360, that's a good thing, if the manager switches formations, but that decision is bad.

Crap, didn't see this thread -- must be the age.

Well I lould love to see player aging and young players come up in BAL. When Van Der Sar and Friedle are still playing in 2016, I just have to shake my head.

Just some emphasis on BAL for next year. I did not hear anything from Konami about improvements here and am worried it is going to be the exact same as 09. That mode is addicting and the main reason why I play it more than FIFA 09. So I hope it will continue to evolve.

i would love to see some of your ideas in the next BAL it would be awesome....

I would love to see better customization like tattoo's your own brand of boots and sponsors by brands for fan photo's etc....would be nice

also the topic of traning to also improve your stats would be cool cus i hate how slow it is to gain hal decent stats.....

also i would love to see you chose who you sign for e.g. i would sign for lpool straight away and work through the youth system then reserves and if good enough then make first team but if you dont fulfill your expectations you get booted, as i hate having to sign for smaller teams in order to get to liverpool!

off the pitch would be nice as in media exploits to gain popularity e.g. interviews, charity events etc
