I do now!

Just made the "A" squad for Everton training match :)

nice. My guy has been on Everton for 2 seasons now(first was with Villa). I just got past the Jan. transfer window and my AMF has 16 goals and 9 assists. I'm hoping to get an offer from Inter Milan so I can leave Everton.... Yakubu is soooo frustrating to play with because he rarely makes a fluid pass.

@L3g0la5, yup and that's really annoying... But whether its a half or full game I want to play either way. :) Most of the time they will take you out of the first team for an important match. They did to me anyway. :)

the same goes for me, but there are times i can run myself ragged for 30mins and not see any action cuz my teammates would decide to all be C.Ronaldo or Messi and try to dribble their way through. If i could i would wanna play every match too but i'd make a better contribution overall over say a 70min period as opposed to 40mins. And i'd wish they'd take me out of a few games every now and then.... i've been playing nearly 30 consecutive matches now including club and country... the only break i got was during the negotiation period...

Can't be any worse than playing in the "B" team where they continously punt it up the pitch rather than actually build an attack from the back

Sounds like your guy's doing well, personally I'd take a move to any CL team. How old's your guy?

i made shaq. scored a header in the youth game. chose man city. never picked me despite scoring 4 goals in the inter-squad matches. moved to everton. played the first game after transfer window. replaced the yak after 65 mins. tackled a confused defender which left me one on one with the keeper and scored with my lefty! played the majority of their games but was too pissed off at their lacklustre performances and delivery that I was looking for a move in the summer. chose newcastle and im loving it.

Yay!

After 5 training games, I put into the A team, and after one game there, I am on the bench for a cup tie against Stoke.

I've done sod all, all I've done is roam around (centre midfield) and try and get all my passes on target.

Just want to say that I am loving the challenge of the BAL mode on top player! ...so much so that I haven't even touched my beloved Master League yet! :O

I started off at Pompy who played me as a CMF. Broke into the first team after about 5 weeks and started/benchwarmed in most of the games after that. Only picked up a single goal and assist though :( (had to play steadily due to rubbish stats...so weak!)

Second season I moved to Blackburn where I earned a regular first team spot playing as AMF. This position was brilliant as I felt I had the freedom to play anywhere in the attacking third of the pitch and was very much part of all the attacking moves. I started more or less every game and finished the season with 17 goals and 6 assists! =D We won the Masters Cup and League Cup aswell...but ended up about mid table in the league!

Im now 10 weeks into my 3rd season, having signed for Liverpool. Usually playing alongside Stevie G as DMF :) It is so much easier playing alongside good players...their passing and positioning seems so much better, seem to have more time and options when on the ball...maybe my player's stats are just getting better?
The best thing about joining Liverpool is that my international team (China) has finally taken notice. Played just the single match so far. Came on as a ST just after my team conceded, dribbled from the restart and scored the equaliser...outside the box and in off the post!! :D not bad for international debut eh?

Anyway, in short, I think that the new BAL mode is awesome!

{To those of you who are thinking that the AI controlled team plays better when your player is not playing... I used to think the same until I realised that when your player is on the pitch the defenders seem to stand off from tackling unless you hold down the shoot button when not in possession - much like in normal non-fixed mode. I only use it sparingly though as pressuring the attackers can leave gaps in your defence if you don't win the ball! Hope this helps.}

Now, back to earning my 2nd cap for my country!

Anyone know how to earn special abilities? I have none so far :(

christ. I dunno how you lot score soo many on top player. Playing with Villa got into the first team nearly every match but only scored 2 goals and 5 assists in 1 season. (funny thing was that my only 2 goals were in two consecutive games)

How you lot score soo many.

try picking chances in which u think u will be at least be able to get ur shot on target. It is alot harder to do so especially when ur player has such shitty stats. One method which i found pretty useful is that don't charge ur shot bar too high. Cuz of ur players inaccuracy and poor technique, charge beyond a certain point and he would usually blaze it over or wide. So when u do get into a good position it would be sometimes best to tap the shot button. Or if u do need to put abit more power into it, make sure u dont charge the shot beyond 1/4 of the whole bar. So far its worked pretty well for me, i can't score bucketloads all the time but i can get lots of them on target.

its my 3rd season and i am in Olympique Marcelle. after i joined team briefly became #1, but now is bouncing around in top 3.
still playing regular difficulty, player is too sucky right now still, i think maybe at season 4 i will turn the difficulty up a bit.

btw what camera view are you using?

I find the Vertical Wide one the best - because it tracks both player and ball (to an extent). All the rest don't fit everything on the screen a lot of the time

I use the normal "wide", focusing on the ball. A lot easier to shoot & dribble on it and just use the radar to position myself.

My BAL

I just finished my first season in BAL mode. (Top Player)

Created a CMF guy and got picked up by Hull.

I played 6 or 7 training games before getting on the bench. The next 3 or 4 matches i got subbed in in the second half between 45-75 mins played.

After about 4 matches as sub I was in the line-up against Arsenal! After that match I was in the line-up every single match for the rest of the season except 2. We ended the season as #20. 1 win 11 ties and 26 defeats. We scored 5 goals in total. I didn't make a goal or assist :(
Was selected Man of the Match 3 times and MIP 4 times.

Sunderland gave me an offer at the negotiation period after the season, and since they finished #11 i couldn't refuse :) Hull had the worse attacking game ever! most matches ended 0-1 or 0-0. We scored 5 goals in 38 matches!

I'm currently playing training matches for Sunderland. And hope to make it on to the bench soon :D

I seriously cannot score, ive scored about 3 in training and 1 proper goal, and im into my second season. How do you get power behind a shot but keep it down? mine all seem to be chips that go straight to the keeper but im not chipping it :/
