Okay, so every year of PES Master League spawns a new discovery of a great, cheap player.

PES 4/5 saw the dawn of the ~ 3000 priced Dagaka

PES 6 saw the arrival of untouchable Rafael Sobis

PES 2009 my discovery has to be Naismith. The Scotsman is very cheap and after a few years of training and strengthening he's just unstoppable. He's fast and he'll put the ball in the top corner from stupid distances.

So, what are your great discoveries? :)

My discovery is that there are too many great discoveries in 09. I mean, it seems like there are too many players who can become unstoppable. For my money I have chosen to recruit players with more realistic growth curves.

Yeah that's absolutely true. I only mentioned one from each game but in fact, I probably make about 20-30+ discoveries in each one.

I don't play Master League but I have come across not-as-known players become freaks of nature in BAL.

For instance, Ádám Vass and Roy Beerens.

Now, surely, if you are a fan of say Brescia or Stoke (Vass) or PSV, NEC or Heerenveen (Beerens) then you'll probably know who these players are but still, they're not as out there as some other players.

As a sidenote, Rafael Sobis became a monster on one of my Football Manager 2009 saves once.

My main discovery this year was Albin who plays for Getafe a very good player who can hit long distance shots, free kicks, crosses, hes top quality and when you start of hes only 22 years old, check him out in your Master Leagues.

A good player in ML is Chapi, probably one of the best in the game, at his early age 17 or 18 years his agility is aobut 95

I'm not sure who you are referring to. The player's names change with patch updates?

Yea Kaiser plays for Porto and Bos (who apparantly is a legend) hasnt appeared yet in newcomers, funny enough I'm actually wating for him.

harnik eventually goes off the chart if you play him every match (which you can because of his great stamina), minus a few injuries - incredibly cheap, pretty much all stats except defence/gk skill about 96/97

edit: if you have no money in your ml, wait until the end of the season and sign players with no contract - no transfer fee required, can get great players for 2000 points max - I bought ederson (released from lyon) and he gets incredible - dribble accuracy 95, fantastic midfielder, eventually about 93 on the development chart, and now he always does slick backheel through passes, pretty cool

Schwarz is amazing if you get him at 17 and play him every game - Bos is also good, Kaiser is my captain, Shaw is a great winger, Orellano gets very good, Shimizu is good but small.

My hidden gems would be:

Menez - A right midfielder who is pretty much unstoppable by 25 years old (Think he's 21 when you start)

Giovinco - central midfielder who's only small but is so nippy and skillful! (Also 21 when u start)

Erding - My proudest bargain! I got him for peanuts (about 4500 PES points) when he was 22 years old and he's now my best striker at 25 years old :)

I've also signed Harnik and Albin who are two other quality young midfielders but not quite as good as the above.

I actually signed Albin right at the start of my ML campaign :) He's been really good for me but has dropped down the pecking order a bit due to Giovinco's arrival - Now he really is good at set plays!! :shocking:

Me too, I initially took him on loan because he was near the top of the overall goal ranking. Then he played well so I signed him for cheap, hes a bargin.
