Not the one already in the game at the start, but the newcomer. Usually appears after 2-4 seasons for me.

I believe he can play CB, DMF, CMF. I play him DMF right infront of my centre backs. After a couple of years he is absolutely brilliant. Never loses a header, good speed, great shot power too.
This is on PS2, I dunno if he appears on other consoles/PC or not?

Mandatory mention of Gambino. He rocks.
Bos is a good defender to go with the already mentioned Gunther.
Guimares (I'm sure I've spelled this wrong) great right back.
Gouffran (again, spelling) & Chirne are my two most recent signings, both doing well.

I found :

Denilson - Probably my best youngster maturing at least 10 levels in eveything within 2 years.

Escudaro - Awesome speed and agility and able to shoot with presicion all from an early age.

Marchland - Defenders nightmare, easily beating them almost everytime

Ricardo Baptista - Great Goaly with a clean sheet nearly all the time

Also Orellano - Scores for fun

Look at Gai Assulin at Israels national team. Great player. Plays on the wing, attacking mid and second striker. Brilliant player, and he's actually already okay from the beginning (17 years) In real life he is at Barcelonas b-squad impressing a lot..

Martin Harnik from austria is also a good smf/winger/amf/ss.

Derdiyok from fc Basel is a good tank centerforward with an extremely powerful shot.

Bendtner (as many has mentioned) he gets crazy after 1-2 seasons.

Kameni is a great keeper.

In the backline my best offer is kjaer (danish defender from palermo)

1) Pjanic (AMF): is THE playmaker; the classic "maestro"
2) Chirne (SMF, plays also SS): high body balance, fast, a "tank:
3) M. Zarate (SS): this guy should be forbidden in the game. He's very fast and agile. Scores tons of goals.
4) Fenin (CF): high response, shot precision and technique. The perfect striker.

i'm only halfway through my 3rd season and have a couple of good players. not my perfect dream team, but still very good. 1 player not mentioned much is fenin (cf). now this player i picked up cheat and hes stats looked ok for the price. (bought him at the end of my 1st season) the coming season he did perform well, not scoring, not passing, nothing. he was basiclly on the bench the whole year, only playing him if i have to. wanting to sell him, i got no offers, damm... pay but no play:huh:. now in my 3rd year this guy exploded, scoring game after game, there is no end to his attack. now i have to recommend him to all.
