Bitter quitters: PES 2013 update allows players to 'retire' at half time

This is a poor solution to their incompetence to solve real online disconnection issues.

Of course this decision sucks especially to those who play in competitions where you need a good goal average. Competitions like Champions League, where lots of players register, you need a clear 3 wins with lots of goals scored (at least 3-4 per game).

If everyone quits at halftime while the score is 1-0 you don't get anywhere. Quitters should be dealt with accordingly and if Konami can't automatize the process in detecting who's cheating, let them HAVE A SPECIAL DEPARTMENT which deals with customer complaints accompanied by video recordings. It's not so hard, is it?

Hi m8. Did you get the game? Let's play soon :)

Hello sir! Sure thing, got it on the 20th. Let's play this weekend. :)

By the way, it looks like there's no ingame chat :( Unless I am wrong, we'll have to find another way.

For real? I assume chat will be included via DLC as well.

Anyway back to the subject. Didn't want to hijack the thread :)

in a way im glad they are doing something about something. what about cheaters and stalllers, what can be done about them?

how about an after match "rate ur opponent system" something like that...

Say we play and I beat you 8-0. What would you rate me? Surely 5 out of 5, for I am so much better than you...

True none the less in out of 2500 online games i have only seen that figure "8" in 4 ocasiones, maybe 5. And it wasnt against me :D

A valid point though. they do have someting similar with pes 2011, that ball that reflects ur reputation, but that was set buy the server not the community. howerever u cant filter and choose Not to play those with a bad Reputation.

I would actually go with a banning system that actually bans the players on my list from playing with him. But probably to radical for konami.

But i do believe that something has to be done, I didnt buy pes 2012 because of this, sadly. that and stalling.

I think they implemented that this year. There's an option called "match block" somewhere I came across the other day. ;)

i read something that on this forum, but im not sure that its that straight forward .(i have no idea) as searching a player and ban him/her.

I have posted this qustion though, seen other people ask the same, but i havnt seen no reply.

If it is indeed as you say, it would defenetly be a thumbs up for me

Yes the match block feature is nice, but as with any other feature Konami implements it's only half done. You can only add to that list players you have played against AND COMPLETED THE GAME. This only works if you want to add a player that you played against and say you didn't like the way he played, or he was some barca/real noob.

Unfortunately if you play against a real quitter that knows how to quit so the game doesn't register (how most quitters do), there is no way for you to block him even though you know his username.

This is unfortunate but it's better than nothing. I'm already blocking noobs playing with barca and real on a regular basis.

I remember there being a limit to people you can ban. Is there a limit to people you can block?

About quitters, stallers and cheaters

i think quitters, are the least of online problems. their rep just goes down if they do it alot, thats enough imo

Guys, we need to STOP KONAMI from introducing this "quitting at half way" feature. I mean, if you play the game, you have to play it the FULL 90 min. It's totally against sportmanship to quit a match half way and it's not going to fix the problem of people cheat quitting.

I mean, even if I'm down to 0:4, I still continue playing!! Who knows what will happen in the 2nd half? I have been down to 0:4 a few times, and in the 2nd half I scored 6 goals and won 6:4.

Quitting is NOT the spirit of Sport!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also I'm getting older now - the turnaround time between feeling a log coming and needing to download is getter shorter every day!!

I know it goes down the way, but is it not "upload"? does "download" not mean you are receiving the poo? (yuk! ;p ;p ;p ;p )

In a MLO competition, if enough cheating mates joined it, they could "take one for the team" and take turns in different competitions of quitting at half time to get their friends more points (if they end up getting matched up with their friend that is) to progress them to the next round.

It's sort of like how friends go on "free for all" modes in FPSs and work with their friend so it's almost always 2-on-1 when they have to compete with anyone. The cheaters don't care who wins, just as long as one of the two of them wins and the other comes 2nd (which tends to happen when you're the only 2 people in the mode with someone watching their back).
