The Option file works with Konami's latest update.

Since this is a new game install, sounds like you did not fully update the game before installing the Option file.

Go to the INFORMATION tab in the PES Menu and then Click on the DATA PACK UPATE.

I think you may need to delete out the EDIT DATA file and re-add the EDIT DATA file from the Option file after updating from the INFORMATION tab. Not sure as I always have had current data version before adding option file.

just delete all the files (i guess its about 661) from ps3 then reinstall i suppose.

I like to have my pes game file on a diff user from the main one so as not to have to pile all those files in with my other games

Never been through that, but I am thinking that you could delete the current EDIT DATA FILE you just updated via applying the lineups and replace back with SammyGunner11's EDIT DATA FILE instead of having to reload all files in the Option file.

I just purchased the game and it won't let me manually pick the type of Data Pack/version I have. I have version 3 for both and would like to know if there's a US option file anywhere that's compatible with version 3?

All it would take is for someone to upload there EDIT DATA file that they have working who has the update working before 1.03

As when they updated to 1.03 they have the working EDIT DATA file now for 1.03. That is all it would take and use the existing download on the first page and just replace the EDIT DATA in that download.

If someone uploaded their EDIT DATA file I could repack it. Really dont see the issue with doing this.

You do realize that is Option File does work with the latest Konami Update?

If you screwed up and applied lineup changes, then delete the EDIT DATA file on your PS3, grab just the EDIT DATA from the OPTION FILE (leave the other 660 files alone) and add just the EDIT DATA file to the PS3. Go to the game and start the process again with this time Choosing DO NOT APPLY then PROCEED and SAVEDATA YES.

Yes.

If your having issues with the Patch not working, sounds like your game is not fully updated. Look at my post above on how to solve and get it to work.
