bought pes4 today!

i bought it today and im still unsure, im so disappointed in the complications of the master league and sponser editor. im pissed off every time i take a shot from out side the box the rolls along the ball into the keepers arms. this seems more of a sequal to pes2 rather than pes3. but its still addictive and arsenal are amazing!! what does every1 else think?

im gettin used to it now...still havent sussed out the shootin' yet ......some sick slowdowns i thought i was playin' on 50hz but it was on 60......im gone change in before i go to sleep....am i the only one who thinks that arsenal's teamwork stats are a little low.. no biggie still a cool game

Arsenal's have you seen Greece's teamwork stat? Considering they won Euro 2004 on tactics and teamwork you'd think it a bit higher than that!

I think it's a great game, I love the new master league and I like having to try hard to beat the computer!

I JUS GOT PES4 AND AFTER PLAYIN IT UNTILL 2.40AM THIS IS WHAT I AV 2 SAY. THE PASSING IS VERY FLUENT, IV GT THE X PORT FILE SO ALL MY KITS AND TEAMS ARE UPDATED, GREAT STUFF. CROSSING TAKES A BIT OF GETTING USETO AND THE SHOOTING HAS BEEN VASTLY IMPROVED. SUM OF THE PLAYER STATS ARE RIDICULOUS, EX. MATRINS(INTER MILAN = SPEED =99) ALLOTA BEND CAN BE APPLYED TO SHOTS AND THE BALL FEELS HEAVIER, MUCH MORE REALISTIC

BUT HERE IS MY MAJOR COMPLAINT, AND ITS THE SLOWDOWN. PES4 HAD BEEN PROMISED TO BE SLOWDOWN FREE, EVEN ON 60Hz, WHAT A LIE. WHEN PLAYIN A MATCH, AT NIGHT, AS SOON AS PLAYERS GET NEAR TO THE BOX IN NUMBERS THE SLOW DOWN IS SO BAD THAT IT FELT LIKE THE MATRIX, WHEN PLAYIN A MATCH WITH DAY SETTINGS MOST OF THE SLOWDOWN DISSAPEARS, BUT IT IS STILL THEIR AND INTERUPTS WHEN A CROSS IS SENT IN THE SOLUTION TO THIS IS TO PLAY THE GAME IN 50Hz, , BUT WITH THIS THE GRAPHICAL QUALITY SEAMS, PARDEN MY FRENCH "SHIT", AND THIS IS A BIG BLOW TO PES FANS ON PS2
I THINK WE DESERVED A SMOOTH GAME SEEING THAT WE WERENT GOING TO GET ON LINE PLAY, KONAMI AV RUINED THE EXPERIENCE.

BUT APART FROM THAT THE GAME IS GREAT, GREAT MASTER LEAGUE, AND GUD LICENCED KITS. WE NEED MUCH BETTER NEXT TIME THO KONAMI

I have had this game a while, (PES, not WE) yeah, I downloaded it... Blah blah, i'm not on my own. In about 5 hours time the game should arrive for me, and I can't sleep because I'm too damn excited about the game and the possibility a decent patch/option file might be released today.

My opinion after playing the game for a few weeks:

The first few days left me thinking "are they serious?" The game didn't seem to meet any of my expectations. After convincing myself it could possibly have a good side I played it for several hours a day. Trust me - This works! I'm now well and truly addicted, tried playing PES3 the other day and it seemed absolutely terrible, so trust me, give it a few days and your opinions will change, this will possibly be the best way you could spend £30-£40. The game obviously isn't up to scratch yet, but just you wait when the Option Files/Patches start flying in and you'll see just how much potential this game has. (The patches made WE8 amazing!)

After a few days of solid playing you will find that the shots aren't hard in the slightest, just require more power than PES3, which you'll be used to in no time... Believe me.

Regardless of how long you play it though, it is still very hard to score from crossing/corners/freekicks, but that's nothing new for PES I suppose. Might just be the fact that I'm a total dumbarse and lack the minute skill that it requires!

I play mine on 50Hz, and have absolutely no slowdown what so ever, I don't need to use 60Hz so I'm not too bothered about that. Anyway, ignore it, doesn't take much getting used to, if you get pissed off with that you'd probably of commited suicide over WE8! Slowdown after slowdown!

SUKHSINGH - Sorry, I dont feel the same way you do, and I don't see you offering an option for that so I think I'll keep my lips sealed . I can't really comment on the slowdown part though as 60Hz isn't needed for me.

This is the best football game I have ever played, I have Fifa 2005, This Is Football 2005 and this absolutely pisses on them. Trust me, if you had complaints about this game, try going to Fifa and playing that. You might want to get some padding put around the controller though, absolutely terrible game.

Anyway, my final thought: This is undoubtedly worth the money it costs, I would pay a lot more if I had to. It gets more addictive than PES3 eventually in my opinion. Sure, it takes some getting used to, but so do most new things. I think people should cut down on the complaining and benefit from the many highs of this game. I say: Don't moan about something you can't change! The game has been released, and that's that. Nothing we can do now but stick with it and enjoy it, and let the religion continue!

Hi guys, i got it yesterday from Game and gave it a solid playing last night and have got next week off to put it through its paces.

Sooooo good! I think the whole thing feels a lot more real, keeping possesion is key, you have to work for every pass and the ball physics are spot on. Shooting is harder, and has anyone got any tips for freekicks?! i had a good strike rate in PES3 but PES4 seems harder?! Can't wait to get stuck into the Master League!!
