Britger 1.0 patch...

I ran the Britger 1.0 patch on my PES 08 but now when I try to start the game I get a black screen followed by a error message saying the game has stopped working & it just shuts down on me. Any1 has any reason why ??

if you have windows vista go into your konami img folder and check whether at the top it says something about compatible files, if it does click that and it will show the files cv_0 rv_e cv_1 then copy them back into the main img folder and delete the incompatible ones, that might work because it did for me

When i clicked the "compatibility files" button, it only shows the "cv_o.img" file. Should I jus copy this one to the main img folder ?

Dammit i'm a bit confused here...bare with me if i'm a bit slow plz. After I overwrite the cv_0 with previous one in the main PES img folder. What do I delete ?

lol you've confused me there,

you make a back up of your unedited cv_0

then copy your edited cv_0 which you should have named sumthin lyk cv_0new into the main folder

delete the old cv_0 and rename the new cv_0

I think I've just made a mess of things...lol Would you recommend me running the cv_0 patch in AFS all over cuz now I dont even know the new from the old!!!

& If so, when openin the cv_0 in AFS which one do I open from, the Konami img file or the Game directory img file ?

yer lol i would delete all your cv_0 rv_e and cv_1 go into the disc folder and copy them back into you konami folder and follow the instructions again and if you mean by game the disc folder then nope its ment to be konami in c:

OK thanks alot. Reason why i ask which directoy is becuz i have 3 sets of img folder.

1) C/Konami/img
2) C/user/doc/download/konami/pes/img
3)the img folder on the "E drive" mounted with the deamon

Finally!! Ive got it!!! After retracin my steps ive got it correct. Such a good thing I paid attention to the note sayin "back up" original files.

hey MJPRZA can you tell me why the newcastle strips are messed up? the text on the outfield player is switched with the text on the keepers kit. (just the color of the names is off but the numbers are the right color)

Ello MJPRZA does britger patch applicable only for vista? cause im using xp n i also have a same prob as djpaso..already try to patch it many times and still game can't run properly, black screen n error message n need it to be closed. When i try to run it again the game run without patch apply on it..thnx for ur patch n help by da way..

Maximus I think the patch would work better with XP than Vista, cuz Vista has way more kinks!!! What I did was uninstall & retrace my steps & it worked this time. The slightest mistake can throw the patch off & in my case I think i forgot to move one of the old .img files, which is why I was gettin blank screen, But i'd recommend try runnin the patch again & if it doesnt work theres another patch I can recommend but not sure if i'm allowed to post that link here. Good luck!

thnx for the help djpaso.. i also found another patch which work perfectly with me.. but still thnx mjprza for the patch
